i thought liams voice was improving
but after hearing downloading the sydney gig, fuck.
it was worse than ftm 2nd night.
i thought he had a vocal coach, and had highered his mike. so as to not put so much strain on his vocal chords.

The vocal coach rumour is bullshit. We have to accept that Liam's vice is damaged and not what it was. He will never be cocnsistently great like he was from 96 to 2000 - even then he was losing his voice at gigs.

The vocal coach rumor is from a parody story that was posted on the Soapbox forum before Heathen Chemistry came out. It was totally false but so subtle that too many people took it seriously.

I have a boot from Vancouver in September, and honestly, his voice on Supernova was 2 times better than on FTM.
He probibly just has some off nights, thats all.
I also noticed that instead of holding notes he just says the words more. Like in 'Bring it on Down' he doesn't hold out the 'underclaaaaaaaaaaaass' anymore.

Yeah, I noticed for the first time Liam didn't sing the infamous 'sunshy-iiine' bit in 'Cigs'n'Alc' at the Sydney shows. I don't know if that is related to his poor voice or just a change he made.

Liam's voice live is absolutely knackered, which is why I don't go to the gigs any more - I wanna keep those happy memories. He has his good days, sure, but also a lot of bad ones. I wouldn't be surprised if at some stage they simply have to stop touring because it gets so bad.

I saw them in Atlanta and he was absolutely on. Sounded great. He had a 3-4 day break b/c the Houston show had been cancelled b/c of Hurricane.
I also think Liam should use the force of the microphones and amps. Even when people talk over those huge amps they can be heard over a crowd. He should just sing like he does in studio instead of trying to scream over the crowd, the amps will take care of that if properly set.

Otherwise he would go for help for sure. Maybe he is too proud or something? But true, he really needs to do something, vocal coach, surgery? I don´t know. But still I wouldn´t say that he is SO bad ALL the time. Yes, surely there has been some bad gigs last year, but also some very good ones, for example Boston where Liam sounds great. And maybe they should give more rest between gigs. 2-3 days?

The problem is that he doesn't sing, he screams. He better sings with a louder amps like he does in Songbird wich sounds great live

i dont smoke either, and from many accounts its hard. but then again, noel got off drugs cold turkey - that would have been hard, but he did what was necessary. also, you'd think to Liam Gallagher, who was heralded as having the most unique and trademark voice since Bono, you would at least try. i mean, if you are willing to go for surgery....not that liam is, but just saying that thinking baout quitting would probably be a good first step before considering surgery. well, in my opinion anyway

I noticed that on the Heathen Chemistry tour his voice started off great. Finsbury Park, Witness, and Berlin. I think that in most of the 2003 bootlegs his voice sounds terrible.
Same goes for this current tour. I was at MSG and Boston and his voice was spot on. I think they need to spread out the dates a little or shorten tours if it gets really bad.
I also noticed something while watching the Manchester 05 DVD. Liam seems to really slow down and concentrate when he sings Songbird. I think it was the best he sounded in the entire show. Maybe he should turn his vocals up so he doesn't feel the need to shout.

I think that on Machester gig 2005 his vocals were mixed too down or something..anyone else noticed this? yes, maybe he should try to turn his vocals more up.
