On way back from Camden gig, was my 6th time seeing Beady Eye and definitely the best. Apart from Shine The Light (just doesn't do it for me) all new songs were brilliant and with the brass, Flick of the Finger and Second Bite were immense but by far the best song of the night was Morning Glory, just sounded so fucking good. They dropped Don't Brother Me for World's Not Set in Stone which worked well and Bring The Light with the added brass was taken to another level. All in all was a great performance by the band although I don't think I've ever been to a gig where it was so hot. Roll on the full tour.

Interesting, I didn't see them doing World's Not Set In Stone again and I thought Don't Brother Me sounded pretty good at the Ritz but it's good that they're changing set lists a bit, obviously very minimal changes but it shows that they might be more willing than on the DGSS tour where everything was kept pretty much the same from start to end. It was hot in Manchester as well mate, sweating buckets after last night

Posing at the end, not singing. i did record the whole thing., but the bass drum may have distorted the lot - we'll see..Yeah, unfortunately every bass drum hit destroys the music. For obvious reasons though the verses on Start Anew are quite clean if anyone wants to hear that. Also, Liam completely screwed up the timings in the Horn break in SBOTA. I smiled and shook my head at Andy, got a smile and a nod in reply. Speaking of which, i had quite a cool moment, at some point in apple I over exaggerated what I was singing, and Andy gave a little laugh at me and a clap!

What a wicked gig, was utterly soaked through in sweat by the time it ended, moved from the back to bang in front of Liam in the pit about 3rd of the way through, was a bit disapointed no-one these days seems to mosh it up a bit.
Venue was tiny, so a real intimate gig, feel very lucky to have been there. I think the set list was the same as Manchester (aside one song), loved the songs off the new album being played live and it was a nice bit of nostalgia with the 2 Oasis songs(which got the crowd moving). Fav song of the night was probably Start Anew. The band and Liams voice all sounded fab.
Overall an excellent night out.

Glad you enjoyed it. Just watching some videos back this morning - Liam sounds like he was struggling a bit with Iz rite. Bit worrying so early on in the tour!
I guess it sounds better when you're there and in the moment though!

That was amazing... yeah might've just been my favourite Beady Eye gig and I've been to a few. The band seems so much like themselves and relaxed than ever before, it's really lovely to see. Shine A Light gets hate from some but damn I love that song live. Start Anew was brilliant and quite emotional performance from Liam. Bring the Light is another song that divides people but last night it was just so much fun I don't get why! Oasis songs did get an extra roar from the audience but it felt they actually fit in the set really smoothly and didn't much stand out like as highlights as such. Dunno if you get what I mean on this one but yeah, it was like not everyone was holding their breaths for the moment they do them and then go back to sleep when they've been played. It was a lot less rough in Manchester, and while I can take a lot of roughness at gigs, the point where you focus just on surviving is where it is bad. But here we were right in the middle front row and it was alright, only got "a bit" bruised not distracted ps. Love that pic of Liam standing by his mic, he stayed like that for a good while, completely still

Liam&Gem arriving to the venue in the afternoon...
Btw does anyone know the name/contact of this Russian fan(female) who was at the gig? She's got a "mad for it" tattoo on her wrist.

The gig was fckin immense. had a chat with Andy outside who signed my ticket. Blinding chap - told him Start a New was the bomb...to which he replied "It's amazing live, wait and see!" ....half way through flick of finger he mouthed "Alright mate" at me..which i actually caught on video too.... even got thumbs up and nods from Mehler and Liam.
Did anyone catch Mehler and Bell literally having a guitar stand off facing each other to the left of the stage...you dont see that often!!
All in all brilliant...especially the crowds chorus "Andy's Dad" being chanted before WigWam to which even stoney faced Liam smiled!
Never seen sooo many people trying to get the stage setlist from the dozey twat security guard!! some lucky sod has it I am sure.
Train home was like the sweat express hahah!! Like previous posts...this for me was best of 5 (not lukcy enough to have seen the stripped down sets)...beats the Troxy where watching Liam pretend to spoon up some chang into his nose singing "fighting with the white" during Man of Misery sticks in my mind!!

YES LONDON! The best @beady_Eye gig ever in my book. Sweated pints. Audience really up for it. Family and friends in full effect. Thanks X

There was also Liam's call of 'Any Virgins in the audience?', follwed by the 'no Virgins?' and Morning Glory. Deffo didn't feel like the awkward odd one out at the front there or anything... [That at least understood what he meant]

Deffo didn't feel like the awkward odd one out at the front there or anything... [That at least understood what he meant] It was basically after Andy leaned in a spoke to Liam...who said this last one is for Andys Dad...to which the crowd chanted Andys Dad. Yep heard the Any virgins in the house before "morning glory!" ..nice touch. By the way....Jesus christ is Paul Gallagher the possibly worst DJ in the universe... Loved the chap prior to that's set...but my word...woaw... errrm.... dont give up the day job paul hahah! After reviewing sweaty handy phone cam vids...Soul Love gives me the chills...seriously decent live that one!!! as well as bring the light extended outro...AVE IN THAT MY OLD SUNSHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINE! Liam gives crowd flick of his finger on the finer points of new "Pretty Green" sweat towel range.

Did anyone catch Mehler and Bell literally having a guitar stand off facing each other to the left of the stage...you dont see that often!! Taken by me. Andy, Gem and Jay were absolutely brilliant with the fans outside. Andy and Jay even came out the front later on, just before we went in! Jay gave me a hug and I asked him if he's going back to Kasabian, he said "You never know. Some day." I wasn't too impressed with Liam. There was about 20 people there, and he just rushed. He never signed anything or had a photo for me, and even refused to take something I was giving him, until I made him take it... If he hadn't have tried to force his way through, it'd have taken him 5 minutes, and I wasn't impressed. (Me, bitter? Never) Didn't see Chris though? Got a few decent pics (will upload them to Facebook later, feel free to add me)... Gig was alright, but I didn't feel so into it. Dunno why. Could have been tiredness. When everyone was going mad, trying to get stuff off the stage, I stayed back, got a cup of water, then just waited for some friends... just saw a yellow thing fly through the air, hit someone on the head and hit me... Turned out it was Gem's pick, and it is now in my wallet

just back from my Manchester/London trip. Though I am totally sick and shouldn'z have gone at all I really enjoyed both gigs. Love the new songs anyway, so am looking forward to hear them again soon. Not too impressed with the songs of DGSS but thats something I can overlook. I'd kept others instead Thought I'd share the videos I took:

Looks like Birchy's got it, judging by the recording of the intro he gave Jim. Probably trying to trade with it before uploading.

I went to both The Ritz and Camden but the Ritz was a far better general experience. The crowd was bigger and a lot more alive, the floor was packed and the band seemed to get a lot of energy from the rocking audience. In camden there were spaces in the front and near front of the stages. Liam singing was a little better as the venue demanded little shouting, but id prefer Manchester any day.

I'm glad you said that because while i thought the Camden gig was a great gig.I didnt think much of the crowd either. (i do tend to find crowds do get gradually worse the further south you go). I also dont think the venue helped as you say there was a lot of space in the hall. that size hall could have probably helf a hundred or so more people but they probably dont have the certificate for that due to there being one exit (ie the capacity is based on that and not just floor space) Also what was going outside all about for the toilet!! Still a top gig though!
