So i get up early today to buy the Indy tickets on ticketmaster.com
I click on the Oasis site and ask for the bestavailable and it gives me 3 balcony tix. I buy them because I am thinking those are the best around, then i descide to check it again and then I find 3 main floor tix available like 5 minutes later...I was so fucking pissed.
Is there a way to cancel the purchase of those tix and get the main floor?

Ticketmaster does that. I was checking out tix this morning to see if I could upgrade my seats. My first 3 searches brought up balconies. then it was all floors for a bit. then it was showing that there were no tix available, then I got some decent floor seats. There's no way to upgrade though unfortunately. I mentioned it in another post that I rarely take the first tickets that pop up for any sale unless they're seats I'm truly happy with. I'll usually do a few searches and then better seats begin to appear.

This has happened to me as well. I think what tends to happen is the first bunch of people log on and are offered the best seats, eg. floor tickets - they're given a time limit of, say, 5 minutes. Then you log in and are offered the less good balcony tickets. There will always be people who've gotten in first who change their mind or wait too long so their tickets lapse and then become available again to you.
My finely honed tactic is to just go feral buying as many tickets as you can, depending on how much spare cash you've got, until you find what you want, and then sell off the ones you don't want. Even though the balcony tickets are less good than the floor tickets, they'll be good balcony tickets because you got in early. So when they're sold out you'll have no trouble selling them on. Besides, it's OASIS! You shouldn't have trouble.
Also try Ebay to sell them off or even this board. It's a bit of effort but it's worth it in the end.

The show is sold out, so you may be able to get a decent price for them on ebay. The murat is a very intimate venue though, I don't think you'll be disappointed even if you sit in the balcony -- actually, I hear the sound is quite good up there. Other than reselling them and chunking down more cash for better seats, you're pretty much stuck with what you have now. Ticketmaster sucks, Sorry you had back luck too
