One of the main complaints about NGHFB is the sameness of many of the songs. Of course this was very much a result of Noel's decision to separate his songs into two very different albums. From the start, the more mellow and 'mainstream' songs were targeted for the HFB album and the wilder songs collected in the AA project. Of course the AA album has apparently been dropped and those songs have, for the time being at least, been left unheard. That said, I have no doubt that HFB would be much more eclectic and varied if Noel would've included a few of the better songs that were to be on the AA album. So I am wondering if we have heard any of the songs that were meant for the AA album (other then the HFB remixes) and if any of those songs should of made their way onto NGHFB Yes, its a highly speculative thread topic but I'm tired of hanging out in the beady eye section reading about albums (not) sold and the glory of finishing 4th in Japan and need myself some Noel talk...
For me, I think that Alone on a Rope and Freaky Teeth were targeted for the AA album. Certainly the addition of these two songs (esp.FT) would've added some 'pep' to the album and one wonders what nuggets still remain unearthed in the AA vaults? OK discuss and educate.

FT was surely for the AA album,Noel said that He also said the he's trying to turn the AA songs into simply acoustic songs that's probably their initial form,so I think we'll heard some (the best) of the AA songs in his next album

I think one day soon we will all wake up and read how Noel is finally releasing the AA projects as a digital download only offer from his website.

I'm not sure the AA album every really existed and was just a kind of 'plan b' should HFB have failed due to been accused of being too safe and MOR... it was basically bigged up by Noel so much at that press conference that it just seems strange he let it fade away...
One of his points was that it was very 'Dark side Of The Moon' and the female vocals on 'Let The Lord Shine A Light On ME' are exactly like a track off of that, so I reckon that one was defintiely going to be part of the AA project if he ever had actually needed to pull it together.

I think we'll hear most of the songs at some point, whether as b-sides, downloads or part of the deluxe package for his next album. It's typical Noel really, hype something up then give it such a half hearted release once everybody has forgotten about it. I think he dropped a bollock by mentioning it at the press conference and I don't think it was ever intended to be what we expected it to be. The impression and gut feeling I got was that it would have been quietly finished off then churned out to keep his name out there in between albums 1 & 2, rather than it getting the proper release and promotion some people were expecting. There wasn't really any need for that though after the success of HFB, although obviously it would have been nice to hear it
