This is really just an excuse to post this picture of David Walliams.... I'm getting into 'Little Britain' & have watched the 'Best of ROCK PROFILE' (their comedy project prior to 'Little Britain') bit on the extra of the DVD. Does anyone know if Oasis were sent-up on ROCK PROFILE? I thought it likely since they did U2, Blur, & Grahame Coxon by himself.......

It was mildly amusing. Best bit was when Noel phones up and Patsy (Matt Lucas answers the phone).
"What's that, Noel? You left some lyrics round here the other day? Hang on [rummages in sofa, finds rumpled piece of paper] Ah, here we are. It says 'Yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah'. Is that right? Okay, marvellous."

And here's my fiftieth post! Cheers for this: It was mildly amusing. Okay, marvellous." I'll have to track it down. You'd think they could do better with the lyrics parody. And it was definitely Patsy (not Meg)? Hmm, there's a limit to the number of characters Matt Lucas can impersonate - he was meant to be Geri Halliwell and it was ridiculous. When they did U2 it was quite funny. It's cool that Walliams plays Noel, when later on he did that interview with him, where he starts off saying: "The first time I ever saw you, you were getting into a taxi in Camden. This was probably about 1995. I sort of bowed down and you waved out the window like the Queen, and from that moment I've always loved you." Here's a link to it in full if you've not read it: observer.guardian.co.uk/omm/story/0,13887,1507223,00.html

Sorry for the confusion, but Walliams plays Liam and Lucas plays Patsy Kensit. Noel isn't in it other than when he phones up (he isn't heard, only Patsy's replys). The whole thrust of the joke is that Liam has been domesticated by this stuck-up, horse-riding toff bird ("My Daddy owns the BBC"). Liam - Walliams - talks about having Patsy's family and Noel round for a dinner party and says stuff like "yeah, those vol-au-vents were double top, man".

Cheers. I aim to get hold of it. I'm a bit obsessed with David Walliams at the moment and any link to Oasis makes it all the more legitimate............
