Love it! I was looking forward to hearing this after reading about the Oasis-ness of it from the reviews. Having gave the album a good couple of listens and time now, this is definitely in my top 3!

And some could say it's about Noel, a lot of the song can be about Noel, and a lot of Noel's song can be about Liam. BUT I think it's more complex than that it could be about Liam and Noel, about Noel and Andy since he wrote it and more importantly it could be about Andy and Mark Gardener too, the leader of Ride with whom he had a very egotic and compliated relationship during the band. Could be a mix about them all really. Apparently, Gem keeps newspaper cutouts with articles about Noel which he wipes himself with everytime he takes a dump. That's why he wrote The Roller. Although I'm not really fond of the counting bit, I think it's a really happy tune, uplifting, and it should be the 2nd single in my opinion. They have made their point of moving towards a different direction with Flick of the Finger and Second Bite of the Apple, now they should make I'm Just Saying a summer single.

Im just amazed that people think this is a throw back to Oasis early days.... You got to be kidding me. What a slap in the face. Dosent even compare. Worst lyrics then the "gig in the sky song" lol. Its no supersonic, columbia, Cigs, Bring it on down, and all the others in the 90s songs. Thats the Oasis sound, you guys forget already. sorry but I had to say it.

Fair, but you only mentioned DM songs. The only DM part I get from this song is the solo (which also kinda sounds like pre-DM demos like Take Me). If anything, this song is closer to WTSMG and BHN. And not lyrically (though it is uplifting like that era was) but just how it sounds. |

I don't know why Liam shouts the verses so much. Also want the solo to have more distortion on it. Also don't like the cadence of the lyrics in the verses, a problem that the majority of the songs on the album suffer from imo.

I like it, it has a WTSMG vibe, mainly the "you and me" part which reminded me of She's Eletric.
