My favorite music of all time is 90s Oasis. Since 2000, I have been longing for anything 90s Oasis from anything made by a Gallagher.
This is my fave Beady Eye tune to date and I'm wondering what the rest of you think. First off, the counting doesn't matter to me, as lyrics aren't huge for me, so that poses no issue. Is this what people are looking for out of Beady Eye? It is what I am (along with other sounds of course).
You have Definately Maybe in the solos The positivity is like WTSMG and it sounds like Hello and Some Might Say had a baby You have the harsh edge of Be Here Now
Great combination. I don't think we have gotten anything this close to 90s Oasis since Heathen Chemistry, which happens to be my least favorite Oasis album (After the singles, too much weak filler).
On what i call a really sombre and melancolic album in BE, this is a nice change up right in the middle. Just love it.

I actually like it more and more for every listen.
I'm really digging the kick-in-the-balls vocals, the Hello-ish riff and the classic Oasis baseline!
And as a bonus it has that classic Liam 'don't give a shit' attitude written all over it.

Highlight of the album for me. Starts off like the swamp song then just builds and builds to the chorus. Best upbeat song the boys have written by far. F**k the counting. This will be banging at the live gigs

It's great apart from the 1,2,3 bit.

Although I like it, I haven't really got into it, I like the guitar solos but I can't remember much from it. The three tracks in a row "Soon Come Tomorrow", "Iz Rite" and this are no doubt the strong point for the album

It's great apart from the 1,2,3 bit. Really not liking the 123 you and me, I quite like it, I'm imagining a singalong at a gig for that bit. Cool ass song though should be cool live.

It's great apart from the 1,2,3 bit. This. Whyyyyy???! 123 you and me...that is the worst lyrics you'll ever find. I don't get it...how is it possible to include that on a serious record?

Great, as great as the 90, could be a MG b side, and this is a real compliment.

And some could say it's about Noel, a lot of the song can be about Noel, and a lot of Noel's song can be about Liam.
BUT I think it's more complex than that it could be about Liam and Noel, about Noel and Andy since he wrote it and more importantly it could be about Andy and Mark Gardener too, the leader of Ride with whom he had a very egotic and compliated relationship during the band. Could be a mix about them all really.

By far my favourite track on the album. It's definitely a throwback to the classic Oasis sound. I think Liam sounds great and it's his best vocal performance on the album.

Come on who cares about the "1,2,3" it's not very important, some prefer to repeat "dream on over" and over, some do "1,2,3".
If someone is listening to any Gallagher for the lyrics, then he has some disapointement ahead of him.
And some others do "ABC, Easy as... 123 As simple as... Do re mi" and you know what the jackson five rock too and their lyrics are shit too.

I don't think we have gotten anything this close to 90s Oasis since Heathen Chemistry Yeah, and that's fucking interesting. The closest thing to the good old Oasis came from Beady Eye. What's the problem with 1 2 3? Too much analysis going on here... It's gonna be great live, and it's a great rocker. Noel must get back. Imagine BE + HFB. Come on, it makes no sense for them to be making separate records.

Anyone think its a 'diss' track from Andy? He said "this is my gift to 90s Oasis fans" or something, and Noel has been quoted many times since 2000 saying he can't write this type of song anymore. Andy proving he can? Almost certainly not, but it crossed my mind Anyway, yeah I love this track. I've listened to it maybe 6 times now and every time I expect Liam to sing "I don't feel as if I know you." It's brilliant though and Liam's vocals are (as nearly always on this album) the best he's sounded in as long as I can remember. Cracking tune and should've been the first single no doubt.

Reminds me Round Are Way too.
This song obviously mimics Noel's style a lot. Noel should play it live.

I sent it to my mate earlier who is a big fan of the 90s Oasis stuff and likes Oasis up til about 05, he didn't like DOYS, hated DGSS (although didn't really listen to it through lack of interest by then) and thought what I played of HFB was alright, and he just sent back - "Finally! What a tune, well done Beady Eye, might give this album a listen." Plus some other stuff.
Not that I'm saying that Oasis is the sound they should be going for, but it is an indication of the track's quality

It's not bad, but it's probably my least favorite track on the album. Yeah, it has the same "sound" as some WTSMG-era b-sides, but its melody is far worse than any of the songs it sounds like. Same goes for the guitar solo. I know people say Noel can't write like in the 90s anymore, but I actually think Dream On and A Simple Game of Genius sound more like 90s Oasis than this song anyway, though I guess they're more like Be Here Now than WTSMG

I think it looks like early Oasis because it sou ds young, innoncent, full of joy, full of life, like SMS or RWI. In the end, Liam's voice in the only one that can fit this type of song.
And it's not the firts time Andy makes an "oasis song", "TUTS is a typical Oasis song ! ...wich is weird" said Noel.

Honestly, this song wouldn't be an Oasis b-side if we're comparing it to the halcyon days of the mid-nineties. Just because it sounds vaguely like the unnecessary child of "Hello" and "Eyeball Tickler" doesn't mean it's as good as the old glory days.
