He never worked for the Roses, he was roadie with The Inspiral Carpets, but dont think he actually did much "roadie-ing" ;D

even not being a roadie, anyone that's been playing guitar for at least 20 years knows how to tune and how to set up a guitar, dont you think? if not he'd better see a doctor.

Anybody that's been in a band most likely knows how to. When you're first starting out you and your band have to set everything up, tune everything, bring in any extra equipment and everything else. But once you become famous you get techies/roadies that come on the road with you and they do all of that for you and I doubt it that they do that themselves anyways, they have all this expensive equipment like chromatic tuners (not tthe little ones you see in shops but these big, long ones made by Korg and stuff) and alike so they'd just use one of those.

I think noel wasa drum techie with the inspirals, don't quote me on that though, and u notice that in the early gigs noel would play the set with one guitar (i.e the U.J Supernova) doing the re tuning an things himself, Now he gets handed a guitar after every song an then gets the one he handed back, back again later.
