Fantastic concert! Excellent vocals by Liam and I loved the guitar work by Andy and Gem, the acoustic setting worked very nicely! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) P.S: Anyone notice that the keyboard player's had a makeover! ![P-)](//storage.proboards.com/1258801/images/aISM4jCl_eWjI5L9xvHU.gif)

Are you sure you heard all the performance and your ears aren't clogged with earwax? Are you sure that you are not so brainwashed by Oasis and so completely used to Liam's awful vocals that you think he is still a great singer even though most normal people think he sings like shit? Just compare his voice here to his vocals on the acoustic Up In the Sky from the evening session in 1993. It's on youtube. People on Twitter thought Liam's performance on Jools was awful. People on this forum thought it was great. That says it all. People on this forum liked his performance on the Olympics. People outside this forum thought it was utter shite. Just awful vocals. You are all so used to his awful voice that you cannot tell how bad it really is. I played the Absolute Radio performance to my friends and family and they all thought Liam sounded like drunk cat. Sad. I think almost nobody said that the Jools Holland performance was great. The majority of the forum members find it average i think. But if you comparing his voice now with his 1993 voice, then sorry but you're dumb. No one can have the same voice in their forties and after so much strain with massive international tours and sounding the same after 20 years.

Started listening now. It's official, acoustic is the way to go for Beady Eye! I really hope Liam has realised it and got over his aversion to do acoustic gigs, because, even if his voice isn't perfect, these few we got until now brilliant!
Edit: Listened a bit more, and, as much as it hurts me to say it, I do feel quite disappointed with Liam's voice. He really seems a bit washed up. I do hope improvement is on the horizon, but, sadly, I am sceptical.

Ok, just finished listening to all of it. Verdict- arrangement wise, this is a very fun performance. I really enjoyed watching Andy on keyboards, and the slide work was nice. Gem looked like he had a lot of fun, especially during Shine A Light, and Chris just might be my favorite modern drummer. The way he did so much with so like was just superb.
Now Liam - not the best vocals I've heard from him by far. I'm Just Saying was excellent, followed by Second Bite Of The Apple and the beginning of Ballroom Figured, but sadly I feel everything else was sub-par.
Hoping for improvement, as I feel the songs are, for the most part, really good. Liam just needs to do something with his voice, and do it quick.

While Liam's voice might be better in acoustic gigs, IMO most of these songs become boring when played acoustically, particularly Soon Come Tomorrow, Second Bite of the Apple, and Flick of the Finger. I actually preferred the Jools performances even though Liam's voice was better here...

Yeah, plus Liams voice is a required taste, as like Bob Dylans is now. Their voices dont really appeal to the masses and the mainstream, so the reason why most people on here think he sounds good is because this is a Liam/BDI FAN FORUM! If you don't like his voice then go and watch X Factor or listen to the Top 40 or something. Liams voice is one of few I can still enjoy listening to because its authentic, emotional, rough and he just sounds good to my ears.

I agree with endstation, his live vocal is bad, I really like the album and think the vocal on it is good but what this forum considers good when listening to Liam live is just about passable for anyone else, if that.
"But if you comparing his voice now with his 1993 voice, then sorry but you're dumb. No one can have the same voice in their forties and after so much strain with massive international tours and sounding the same after 20 years." No but a lot of artists in their forties sound a damn sight better than Liam does live and I swear Liam sounds the way he does mainly because of how he tries to sound, for some reason he wants that awful nasal tone in his voice which thankfully is missing from the album vocals.
"If you don't like his voice then go and watch X Factor or listen to the Top 40 or something." What a stupid thing to say, just because people think his live performances are bad doesn't mean they dislike the album and aren't a fan and it certainly doesn't mean they should go and listen to David Guetta. I'd much rather listen to something by Oasis, or a Beady Eye album, or the Libertines, or Blur, or Pulp, or Guns n Roses, or the Beatles, or the Stone Roses to a Beady Eye live performance. Disliking his voice doesn't make you a fan of current pop music. :L
I want Liam to sound good live as much as anyone but I'm not prepared to delude myself into thinking he does.

Yes, you can sound more or less the same after 20 years if you take care of your voice and sing properly. Liam's singing technique is very bad for his vocal chords.

I know a lot of people who loved his voice back then. But not anymore. Noone outside this forum thinks this is a great performance. The same is true with Bob Dylan. He also lost his voice, and only harcore fans still like his live vocals. Your comment about "go listen to X Factor" shows that you are a fanatic member of the BDI sect. I feel sad for you.
