So I was on YouTube watching some of the videos of OUI FM acoustic sessions after Beady Eye were on there the other week. I came across a guy/band named "Tété" doing a Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds Cover. Turns out its The Death of You and Me. It is a disaster.

Well apart from the fact that he forgot the lyrics, I dig it. Kinda laidback, relaxed cover. Kinda funny the lyrics he was just making up, don't mind it.

No, haha. I know the lyrics, but couldn't sing it. I just couldn't believe he'd choose to do a song he knew less than half the lyrics to.

I'm really liking it haha The first half is really disorganized. I think toward the second half it gets much better.

I like it. I think the bluesy feel works really well for the track.
Shame he forgot the lyrics, I think it would have been a really good cover otherwise.

How was that a disaster? Thought it was good. Liked the little frills he picked out between chords.

You guys do realize that One Direction did Wonderwall right? NOOOOOOOOOO.....!!! LOL. And the worst part is, the video is nearing 7 million views on YouTube! (although there are quite a few comments slagging them off for ruining a legendary song...followed by comments defending them.)

(although there are quite a few comments slagging them off for ruining a legendary song...followed by comments defending them.) That song is one of those ones that is bullet proof IMO. There is no one in the world (so far that I have heard) that is shit enough for that song to not still sound fantastic. It doesn't get enough respect from Oasis fans I think. I know I don't respect it enough. I rarely think about it and probably listen to it the least of any Oasis song (that I like) but when it comes on in the car or when I am sitting in Starbucks or some random busker starts playing it on the street I always stop and really enjoy it. I remember being on the edge of Venice at night looking out at the sea and having a busker starting up Wonderwall somewhere out of sight. Beautiful moment.

I'm sorry but if you're gonna play a cover like that, know the lyrics to the chorus man.

It's pretty disrespectful to not even bother to learn the words imo

It was good!
You don't have to do everything word for word and note perfect all the time
