Just heard about this RIP to a great musician, fellow Chicagoan, and alumni of DePaul University. The Blue Demons are a bit sadder today. One of the reasons I chose to go to DePaul was because Manzarek was an alumni and I thought it'd be cool to be able attend the same college as a member from one favorite bands did. Condolences to his family.

Absolutely gutted about this.
Right now I'm getting ready for work and listening to the 'Waiting For The Sun' album.
Loud.

Ray was top act, kept the doors spirit alive after Morrison's passing. If Jim Morrison was the face of the doors, then Ray was the body for sure. If anyone ever watch the doors live performances. Ray not only does the keyboard parts, but also the bass line at the same time. Highly unique and Ray helped to make Jim Morrison's vision to the world.

Seemed like one of the nicest guys in the world, and was one of the greatest supporting band members of all time. He made his own completely unique sound, and he will be greatly missed!
