Just a thought but how would everyone feel if SBOTA was the Stone Roses 'comeback single'?.

Just a thought but how would everyone feel if SBOTA was the Stone Roses 'comeback single'?. My initial thought "Washed up". Seriously, Beady Eye can't choose a good single to save their lives.

As I said it was just a thought and June the 10th still can't come soon enough for me!. I just find it kinda funny how we treat our favourite bands like our football teams. They can play like shit, but as long as they have a star player we still love em and cheer them on and it only takes a moment of genius to change the game!!!. Here's hoping for a of genius on this album!!!

The irony of this is Ian Brown's solo career is fucking awful and him and Squire these days couldn't come up with a single even that good

What if Led Zep had written DLBIA and Oasis written Stairway to Heaven?

Then Zeppelin would be accused of being Beatles rip off and Oasis would be accused of stealing various 50s and 60s blues based music.

I never saw DLBIA as that Beatlesy. Yes its got John Lennon's piano from imagine. But that isn't the Beatles

FEAR, Keep What Ya Got, My Star, Stellify, The World Is Yours I can only assume this is a wind up at - I hope it is.

There's a lot of dross there but some cracking songs as well

And the albums are filled with abseloutely awful awful songs. No melody, nothing. I hate how he takes inspiration to shitty hip hop and rap shite. About 8 or 9 decent songs from that many albums is an awful solo career in my opinion. However I love the stone roses.

We are merely picking out the best songs and your talkng shite saying that the songs mentioned are only decent songs. FEAR for example is a landmark song in his career with or without the stone roses - a song that truly stands the test of time. I can listen to Golden Greats or Unfinished monkey business right through barring the occasional skip. So right there is 20 odd tracks that I rate highly and I'm sure a lot of other do. It's pretty poor to make a sweeping generalisation that someone's solo career is fucking awful when you've probably not listened to half the material.

Ian Brown's greatest hits album is excellent, and that doesn't include either of his last two albums. The World Is Yours is his best solo work imo and a genuinely good album, and My Way is decent enough including a couple of excellent songs.

What if Jesus Christ had been a pervert with a crisp packet stuck on his head? This and the classic quote "Yeah I'm just standing on stage thinking about the price of beans in Yugoslavia" are two of my favourite LG quotes. I salute you sir
