Songs cannot be wimpy. Personification only works in reviews about music, not in random opinion. If you want to call it soft, fine. But wimpy implies something negative for an abnormal reason. Just because a song is soft, does not mean it deserves harsh words. If he wants to give me a real reason why he hates it, then I would accept. As for usernames, I don't bother, because you all seem the same to me. Just words on a screen. I don't care who replies, I only care about the content of the reply. Now sometimes, a comment will blow me away and I'll remember the username for future reference, but that does not happen often. Guys....Get a grip and stop destroying the thread with this nonsense lol Nothing can reclaim the thread now. Someone needs to start anew one. |

People's impression of Liam is that he is a "rock star" which means that such a sentimental song should never come from his mind. Total crap in my opinion. Liam's best tracks are the ones when he is being sentimental. I think the lyric is great, simple, poignant, beautiful. |

lyrics are great. simple and lovely with a massive emotional effect.
in lyrics that song has everything.nothing more nothing less.
in my mind its makes me thing of the "wonderwall" feeling.a few simple and lovely words that mean so many thingw to so many people.

from the first moment i fell in love with that song.
but i think that "Start Anew" suffers from the "stop the clocks" "syndrome"!
i mean the aoustic versions of both tracks , are better than their studio versions, imo.
both have a haunting and emotional feeling, a performance that the studio version cant catch.
imo, "Start Anew" could be exraordinary if the first part of the song was like the acoustic version with backround only sound effects, keeping the parts with the acoustic guitar,
and the outro should be following the studio version with the huge beautiful and powerful crescendo.
still a 9/10 or 10/10.
