I think that is what I'll be shooting for all the singles I can get me hands on unopened and unplayed. And I'll end up getting doubles of some so I can listen to my favorite Oasis singles on vinyl one day. Would be awesome collection especially if you already have (or plan to look for) all the studio albums on vinyl as well. Good luck! Thanks! I might hold off on the albums for awhile, those get too expensive for me currently, especially for DM and WTSMG.

I've only seen that one sealed ever. Stand by me would make sense too, but that's it. A lot of my 7"'s and 12"'s have the price stickers on the sleeves.

I agree but a do also think its a comparison as such. Like andy said in 20 years time we will be 100% digital world so if you get into a band and all your used to is seeing some artwork on a screen/ even colder experience than cd. How nice do you think it be to pick up a copy of definitely maybe on cd, a retro CD player and be able to physically touch the cd, read through the artwork etc. I think there will be a market for CDs obv vinyl be worth big bucks / for proper collectors but CDs for younger collectors vs digital in the future. I disagree. People will ALWAYS want a physical copy of some sort. Perhaps not everyone for example, I prefer digital as it uses less space, but from time to time, I like feeling that I actually have bought and own the music I am listening to. I don't think 100% digital will be the next stage or ever, I think it will be more keen to small flash drives or memory sticks that you plug into a new stereo system or the like. Digital file, on a physical item. It wouldn't be a a player of any sort so it would be unlike an Ipod or something. It would still come in a case, which could still be signed by the band. It just won't be a large, round, shiny disk anymore. I really don't want to disagree with people anymore and I honestly do 100% agree that people want to physically hold / own things Maybe in the future it would be a like an NFC chip and all your devices in your home would just pick it up and play it.

Thanks! I might hold off on the albums for awhile, those get too expensive for me currently, especially for DM and WTSMG. Cool. I only just recently got Definitely Maybe for that reason. One more thing. Sometimes on ebay you'll see colored vinyl editions of either of those. Might seem cool to have an album on blue or green or whatever but I'd avoid colored vinyl in general because it can sound like shit. Also their post-90s albums are in $20-$30 range so maybe start with those.

Looks like someone's wrapped some clingfilm round it. Been buying oasis vinyls brand new since 1995, and can say I.ve never come across any sealed.

If they are unsealed when bought, they risk getting damaged from grimy, oily fingers from people who may or may not even purchase them. Not to mention everything could be ruined if it is raining outside.

Perhaps that is what they mean by sealed. Never taken out of its sleeve.

You could always just download it online and burn a copy onto a blank cd if you don't want to open your new one. I don't take great care of my cds as I play them in the car alot or loan to friends and most have scratches or even skip and are unplayable because the more I like the album the more wear it gets. I take much better care of vinyl albums because many have value unplayed or as collectors items much more than cds do. Cds probably won't be around for another five years and only a few of mine are worth anything. To me cds are of much less value and I rarely buy them new anyways. If there is a new release I really want I usually can spare $5-$10 more to get the vinyl and feel like I'm adding it to my collection in a permanent format. So my thoughts? Cds are meant to be opened, scratched, played, whatever. But the Oasis vinyl I'd be more careful about. If I had any of those singles I wouldn't open them 1. because I already have heard all of their songs a million times so I wouldn't get anything out of it and 2. because of that even if I DID open it I wouldn't play it often enough to justify opening it. And most importantly 3. Unopened singles like that are worth $ as collectors items and won't be reissued. But it comes down to you're the one who paid for it so do what you want This is exactly what i think as well, cds arent really worth keeping sealed as much as vinyl, besides vinyl is imo a better format as well
