Interviewer: What's it like being a member of Beady Eye?
Gem: It's hard to say man. It's not mathematical. Red sky at night... shepherd's delight.
Interviewer: Was the recording process for this album more challenging than the first?
Gem: It wasn't harder or easier than the first, y'know? It just was. Apples and oranges.
Interviewer: Was it your intention from the start to move in a different direction for this album or was it something that just happened after you'd chosen the producer?
Gem: Dave came in and he nailed his colours to the mast. We were all looking at each other across the studio and it just felt right, man. A leopard can't changes it's spots but it can still dye it's fur y'know?
Interviewer: How old are the songs on this album?
Gem: You can't put your finger on a date and say this was written then or that was written then or this was written two weeks ago but this was written two years ago. I wrote a song last week but it doesn't mean it's only a week old, y'know? Songs... transcend the concept of time, really.
Interviewer: Are you nervous about how the album will be received critically?
Gem: We're excited if anything man. We're ready to face the music and the crowd!

Haha. That's actually a bit true. I love Gem...but he's a weird interview subject. As much as I hate most of what thedon says this post made me laugh.
