I think individually, they are all great musicians, but as a whole they seem to be trying too hard maybe.
Instead of creating a straight forward song - guitar, drums and vocal, they are messing around far too much!

I think the lack of any sort of decent melody in the songs they write is a much bigger problem.

God bless.

Liam, Andy & Gem are very good musicians individually... but they are lacking when it comes to songwriting. They're so far behind Noel it's unreal. I'll buy the album & singles & support Beady Eye all day long, but I'm NOT expecting anything special. NGHFB is by far superior to anything Beady Eye have given us to date. It's becoming more & more clear to me that Liam & Co. need Noel more than he needs them... in fact Noel doesn't need anyone.
I cannot believe that the new album will be woeful. I'm sure there'll be some decent tunes on there, but I'm not expecting anything amazing. Looking forward to hearing it though all the same. .....I'm Curious.

Does Liam really think Spinal Tap is real? LOL

Weirdly I was thinking the complete opposite, there are quite a lot of guitar solos on the Beady Eye album and virtually none on Noel's album. I think Andy's written the best solos over the last decade or so, especially Four Letter Word, Three Ring Circus and the Nature of Reailty. Noel wrote hardly any after SOTSOG. The greatest musician in the band has to be Chris though, he is an absolute beast.

Liam to me quite clearly has a sense of humor, it may not be sophisticated enough for some but I think its a bit weird to suggest he hasn't.

every band is different, go listen to radiohead if u want lots of ''musicianship'' lolz I have listened to all of their stuff. The only thing in my opinion worth revisiting is Creep...One good song in how many years and songs they have released? I like every Oasis song to some degree. And Oasis is the only band that I completely enjoy in such regard. You obviously just don't get Radiohead if you think the only good song is one most fans don't really rate at all to their later stuff

I really dont know why they dont write more solos. Its weird when "SOLO" comes and u hear 4 fucking the same notes again and again... Maybe because they're not Oasis? Oasis were famous about the frequent use of solos in their songs. Maybe they want to distant themselves from the common Oasis sound. Are u kidding me? Play the few notes sounds more like Oasis, than creating a more complicated solo.

Oasis not having any musicianship isn't an excuse for Beady Eye. If anything it would be one of the best things they could do to really differentiate them, and hide the fact that their melodies aren't ever gonna match the ones Noel would have come up with.

If listening to music takes conditioning then it is not very good music. For experimental music, I prefer Mr. Bungle, and even that I don't like much.

Pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

All of 'In Rainbows'is pretty instant and direct guitar based music, nothing far out. If it makes you cringe, its because there's something you don't like or don't get. There's nothing wrong with not getting something. I don't get Pink Floyd, doesn't mean they're a bad band.

That's fair enough I suppose. But remember your ideology falls under other musicians you don't like as well, such as, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber ...that probably make you cringe. So are you saying their music isn't bad too and you just don't 'get it'?

God bless. There's a fine line between genius and idiot. I've said it before - Liam is Karl Pilkington with a foul mouth. He isn't trying to be funny but he's just so clueless and dozy about how the world works he comes out with some genius theories and musings. E.g. "Would Jesus Christ have been a pervert if he had a crisp packet on his head?"

Pretty Green NEED to make some tight boxers, and David Beckham NEEDS to pose in them and run through some gardens.
