I'm just glad Phil Mickelson isn't sporting his "man boobs" anymore. That was a difficult period to watch golf on television.

Lennon2217 I know you follow all sports like most of us , I don't recall your opinion on this I disagreed with ash & debris and some others I have said from before I came back , that tiger wouldn't catch jack , ... Injuries or not l. Staying that good like jack winning in 3 decades ( majors ) is almost impossible , he is not in his prime tne young golfer s are not in "awe " when he is in lead like in 90 s and 2000s. Not saying who was better ... I say if they played with same equipment odds are in match play its 5-5. 6-4 either way , but 5 more majors ? He hast won 1 in 5 years not saying he will never win 1 or 3 but I say jacks record is safe .

That is still a lot of opportunity to win 5 more. Let's be honest, he has been playing great golf this season. This week was a tough course for everyone. Guys missing puts left and right. It's only a matter of time before Tiger captures another major. And when he does...they come in bunches.

I will say this , he seems not to putt better on majors since the 08 open .... But I see your point about winning in bunches. Your right , I'd like to see history , by the way not hating on tiger at all

Westwood will be hard to beat, always been one of the best ball strikers, he's on an unconscious putting streak this week too.
Hope I'm wrong but I expect Tiger to make an early bogey or two, then start pressing and fade from the leaderboard.

Guy can't putt under pressure anymore, it's sad to see. Great win by Phil, he was so close at the US Open, this was well deserved.

Yea your dead right , I'm a Phil fan , but don't hate tiger ,been saying I don't think he will catch jack and its because he lost his that clutch putting , same thing happened to Tom Watson he had 8 majors at 36 lost his putter under pressure , never won another major I think 83 or 84 was his last , not saying tiger won't ever win just dont think he'll win 5 more majors to break record cause of what you just said Edit : interesting stat they just said .........tiger is no longer so far ahead of jacks pace jack had 14 majors in 67appearances ....tiger 14 in 63. So the thought of tiger winning that absurd number some were throwing out years ago of 30 is out the window

Another interesting stat.
Most majors won since 2004:
Tiger - 6 Phil - 5
You wouldn't have thought that someone else has been as almost good as Tiger over the last 10 years but its true.
I think Tiger, being a parent and having more responsibilities now, doesn't put in enough time practicing his short game and putting and devotes too much time to his swing. I wished he'd forget his long game and would just putt until his arm falls off before majors, because ultimately that's what it always comes down to.

Tiger lost this tournament on the 17th hole yesterday when he made a complete mental error and cost himself a share of the lead heading into the next day and a couple of strokes in the process. Then he came in today pressing and making more mental mistakes. Congrats to Mickelson. Also great to see a champ like him have another day in the sun.

And another Arizona State Sun Devil dominates the sports landscape.... - Phil Mickelson (PGA) - Dustin Pedroia (MLB) - Jason Kipnis (MLB) - James Harden (NBA) - Terrell Suggs (NFL)

Been playing Tiger Woods'09 on Playstation a lot lately, bought it cheap only a couple of quid, not played a golf game for at least 10 or 12 years and must say im hooked now. Never been into watching golf to be honest, bores me to tears to be honest, but as a game to take part in, real life or virtual its pretty great.
