maybe if people would reply and debate like reasonable adults, posts won't be playpenned. whenever someone disagrees, the first instinct is go to the personal insult "you're c*nt/asshole/dickhead/idiot/". If you constantly disagree with another member, ignore them, block them, PM them, whatever. Just don't put the rest of the forum through pages and pages of your petty fights. The same goes to those who enjoy creating chaos in the BE section. Get a life, find a hobby, go outside. So as the guy wasnt brining anything relevant to this thread. He wasnt even retaliating, He was just trying to wind up one person (and insult others in the thread) Why doesn't he get a warning and if he persists he gets banned? Once some of the self perceived top members / trolls got warnings / banned the forum would be much better place and more lurkers would start posting and the forum become healthy again. |

In fairness, I also walk around with one of my eyes cellotaped shut pretending to be Thom Yorke, as I am such a massive Radiohead fan.

I wrote a single comment about people affecting Oasis' vocabulary. I was subjected to a torrent of abuse.
I have been called:
A c*nt.
An asshole.
A douchebag.
A knob rot.
A prick.
Before I was subjected to these insults, the only controversial thing I said is that some fans are "sheep". Baaaaa.
I also criticised someone's lack of apostrophes.
In fact, I was the only person who tried to bring some levity to the situation by posting silly things about cellotaping my eye shut like Thom Yorke because I'm such a huge Radiohead fan. And putting absurd pictures of W. up.
Hypocrites.

Do you keep the best ones to yourself and only post the crap or what? Oh and its MONKEYS, Arctic Monkeys. Thing i've noticed about people who talk them down is they can't even fucking spell the name right, thats how much of a clue they have. Four Letter Word, The Roller, Three Ring Circus, Bring The Light and Wigwam should stay. I found TMS a little bit boring live, it's good to watch on youtube but at a gig it just drags a bit. I love the album versions of Millionaire, Kill for A Dream and TBGO but again a bit boring and samey live.
Rock n' Roll Star should also be played at every gig!
And I fucking hate the word mega, always have done even before I knew about Oasis, I don't know why either I just think it sounds annoying
