Got fed up of people moaning about the overuse of "the word is up" lyric so I've played around a bit, stripped it down and replaced it with an extended chorus.
Enjoy or hate:

Bit of an uninspiring thing to do, take something that a team's worked on creatively for months, then just tailor it to your own specifications. Bizarre.

There are hundreds of remixes, reduxes and modified versions of other Oasis/Beady Eye songs floating about. Hardly an uninspiring thing to do either, I just responded to the feeling I was getting from a large percentage of this forum that the bridge of this song was repeated a few too many times. I've barely changed the song that they've 'worked on for months' as you put it.

Remixes usually give completely new lives to songs, and involve some sort of inspired creative process. AA's 20 minute remix of Falling Down, completely different song. Daft Beatles' remixing of Wonderwall and Day In The Life, astoundingly original even though all they used is the two songs' samples and nothing else. This is like if you went to an art gallery, stood in front of a Delacroix and painted a top hat on someone in the picture cos you think it suits them better. It's like what Noel says here about the listener HAVING to be "ultimately satisfied". Just listen to the fucking song how it is!

It's like what Noel says here about the listener HAVING to be "ultimately satisfied". Just listen to the fucking song how it is! You're going to swear at me? Right. Instead of pulling an opinion from a Noel Gallagher interview, why don't you come up with something more substantial than repeating the words of your 'hero'? All I did was made a minor edit to the original song. If you don't like it, I will happily hear your own criticism but please don't attempt to glorify yourself as some kind of critic by mentioning a frankly terribly overrated artist, such as Delacroix, in the attempt to look cultured. You are an embarrassment. I have no qualms whatsoever accepting criticism, but when it comes from the mouth of someone so fake that their argument is flooded by such a damp squid of a point of view, I am never going to take you seriously. On a separate note, if you feel the edit is shit, enjoy the original.

hahaha ... you bit at aaalll the bits I thought you would, the delacroix reference, noel's opinion (two words), 10/10 result - fantastic stuff.
look matey, as rude as it sounded, i wasn't digging at you. make all the edits of all the songs you want, and people will love and appreciate them. brilliant! making music is amazing in any shape, way or form. that was just my opinion, and maybe i was in a different state when i wrote it. am i being close-minded? maybe i am! i do think it's a bit uninspiring, but you don't, and that's why you do it and that's fantastic.
and don't try and give me that patronising "you are an embarrassment", "attempt to look cultured", "you're fake" rubbish, just because i oppose your point of view. what a load of aggressive nonsense. while i was commenting on your viewpoint, you attacked me personally, which is a bit out of order. i have absolutely no idea who you are as a person, so don't take it like i'm insulting you. bit harsh. how is delacroix overrated, by the way? not a huge fan of his other than his technique, but just wondering.
and it's "damp squib", by the way. I assume all "squids" are damp as they live in the ocean.
and my purpose in life is being a vagina, obviously???
