I know this is stupid, but do you think that there's a chance that Noel's camp released the AA version of What A Life to reduce the demand for the album to allow Noel to release an album with out the AA impact? I loved 'Shoot A Hole in the Sun' but I think the AKA What A Life from AA is unlistenable despite a few good moments.
While I'm disappointed the album was never released but that song definitely made it easier for me to get over the fact that it's not going to be released. I'm just hoping that we get the CD as a bonus disk to a future release.

Personally, I usually cant stand remixes and typically get the impression of them simply being nothing more than a b-side type of bonus track or whatever.

My interpretation is that the AA album wouldn't be a remix heavy type of album. It would rely on re-imaginging a couple HFB tunes for this project as well as 10 other original compositions given the AA treatment. If it is going to sound like the AKA...What A Life (Remix) well then Noel can keep that shit in his bag. I'd much prefer it to be more like Shoot A Hole Into The Sun.

I often wondered if the released the AA mix of AKA...What A Life so we'd be forced to hear that woman screaming "What a life, What a life"

remixes are all shit and that's why i hate the music these days. i mean, how old is the song summer jam? because i heard the new version with a typical david guetta beat. it's just horrible

I have nothing against techno/electronica etc, but if it wasnt going to have significant amount of purely original compsitions not related to the HFB material than count me out Otherwise, I was,and still am looking very forward to hearing those 10 songs one day

I'd also like the AA album at some point. I really liked Shoot a Hole into the Sun, and it was nice to see it in the soundtrack of the DVD. Aka...What a Life didn't work so well, I agree.
Noel's X-Files song (Teotihuacan) shows he's clearly capable of producing interesting, original techno/electronic music, so I'd hope we'd hear some of these songs in the future.

I absolutely LOVE falling down AA remix. It's fantastic, a trip, the soundscapes, etc. Amazing. Am I the only one?

^^I think the FD remix is pretty popular, though I'm not too keen on it. About 20 mins too long IMO! Don't like the AKA WAL one either but I do love SAHITS. As for the original post, I also like a good conspiracy theory

funny, i remember everybody loving the WAL remix and saying, that it is so much better than "shoot a hole into the sun" seems that the second one hat passed the test of time. i love "shoot a hole into the sun" if the Noel AA album would have been like this, it would have been awesome.

The first 4-5 minutes of the WAL remix isn't bad. It's everything after! Talk about a song that doesn't need to be 15 minutes in length. Edit that shit. I want the AA project to be more SAHITS than WAL remix.

Another good theory is that Noel is a pussy when it comes to playing it dangerous. Liam is right about that.

I would love a psychedelic album from Noel of original material. But pushing a 3 minute song to 10-15 minutes the way he did for the AKA...What a Life remix was no good. It was way to repetitive and boring. If he can compose actual songs for it and then release it, now that would be mega, but the AA mixes just weren't good enough.
