Only really listened to the song for the first time last night, gave it a few tries but must say its no a song i like very much. Didn't really like FOTF either but even that is better than this new song. Its fun i suppose and quite quirky but just doesn't feel right to me.
Must say my early impression of the album is not great, I liked DGSS but this new album although the 'production' seems good the songs are seriously lacking from what i've heard so far.

This should've been Beady Eye's choice as the first single for BE.

I agree with johnking. It is too repetitive. The fact that the chorus also is just repetition of one line "cmon show me what you love now", and it starts right after "the word is up.."-Part doesn't make it any better. It's LAZY songwriting.

I totally agree here, the two new Beady Tracks are awful...no chorus on one of them and no single-worthy melody on the other.
My only hope is that I hated the first few I heard of DGSS and then there were some gems on the actual album

I don't really get this thread. Let It Be...(x36) The difference is Let it be had a great melody. The same with Hey Jude. It made it listenable with those songs. SBOTA? Not so much.

Also "let it be" is sung in different melodies.

BE will happen to be worse than DGSS.
It's like, ten years of songwriting for Oasis under perhaps some guidance of Noel (which is a big help) vs 2 years of songwriting in their 40s.
Come on guys...

No I haven't, I'm just trying to deduce what BE can be like in relation to DGSS, by evaluating in what conditions and how long did they take to write material for this coming album. It's quite logical.

That does make sense actually. They say your first album usually is your best one because you've been writing it your whole life. If DGSS was the result of 10+ years of songwriting than I shudder to imagine what "BE" will be.

It's quite logical. Eh? What are these conditions? I thought the first one made them realise that they had to work harder which they appear to have done. There is no logic judging an album you have not heard.

Perhaps you should contemplate not visiting an open platform of varying opinions, I.e a forum - if contrarian viewpoints make you that emotional.
Give it a thought m8.

You seem to have troubles telling the troll from a different opinion. Ban is for trolls and all that. No one here is being such, there is actually argumentation and exposition of simple ideas. You may not like them, but there they are.

All I said to you was that its not logical to judge a whole album having not heard said album. And it isn't.

I laugh to myself at that clip on the tour bus in America on the Tour of Brotherly Love when Liam was slagging Noel about writing shite lyrics "I can see a liar, standing by the fire, shooby dooby doo..."
Well 10 years or so on and those lyrics sound like wordsworth compared to the fucking absolute drivel dished up on SBOTA.

I don't like Dubstep, I don't go on Skrillex forums etc, I don't think they really need to hear my 'different opinion' . Music is subjective, all this slagging off Beady Eye isn't going to change anyone's mind, nobody's suddenly gonna go OH YEAH, I LIKED THAT SONG AT FIRST BUT THIS GUY, THIS GUY TOLD ME IT'S SHIT BECAUSE IT'S REPETITIVE AN EVEN THOUGH I LIKE THE MELODY HE SAYS IT'S BLAND AND AWKWARD, THANKS I CAN;T BELIEVE HOW WRONG I WAS BEFORE! If you're never going to like anything the band does stay in the Oasis/HFB sections and talk about something constructive in there. By all means come on here when new material comes out and give a negative opinion if you want if you really think that but once or twice is enough! Not in every thread!

But Noel's the songwriter of a generation, he himself says how brilliant he is so when he writes very shit lyrics (which on occasions he does) then slagging is justified as we do expect better. We know LAG are average songwriters but as fans they connect with us There hasn't been much 'bragging' on this record by BDI thus far just about its 'far outness'. Lets see what happens next Thursday

Also got bored with that line. Maybe, if it had a better melody... or if it was delivered with more passion like Cobain ending with 30x You know youre riiiiiiight... he was kinda expert with this - Grandma take me home, I think im dumb, something in the way hmmm hmmmm, hello hello hello how low. He was doing it all the time, but he was so great, people didnt complain like now. Maybe, we should give Liam the same amount of respect a tolerate it.
