Funnily enough, I think I'm the only one who didnt enjoy the album that much. Moving is decent, as is Reminder. Where You Stand is timeless, as its been said, 100% Travis. Another guy, Boxes, On My Wall, New Shoes - all decent but doesnt get me really into it, like their other albums have. Not got into Mother or Warning Sign at all. That said, I've only listened to it twice. I hope it will grow on me. Still absolutely love this band though. Do you know what, after listening to Boxes a few times, I've come to the conclusion that this might be Travis's most beautiful sounding song ever. The lyrics are so poignant too, it's absolutely fantastic. Just out of relevance, from the Bonehead interview on the Oasis section

They're the only 90s Britpop/post Britpop act that, for me, are yet to disappoint with an album release. While there's nothing that's 'great', all albums are really really good and all really consistent in high quality. Their albums are similar to Noel's album I feel - not going to set the world alight, but brilliant to listen to nonetheless. Their consistent output puts the Oasis back catalogue from 2000s onwards to shame, with every Travis album being so far superior to that shoddy output. I always felt "The Invisble Band" was a tad underrated. Also a song like "Pipe Dreams" should have been a single. first 3 albums are fantastic with the Invisible Band being their Be Here Now? haha they were so much on a HIGH, they've got the big songs. Humpty Dumpty love Song was the highlight for me and my girl back then. The Cage, Sing, Flowers. love these times. gladly enjoyed it early 2000. hardly have any interest since 12 memories but it's great that they're still making records I guess. oh and I must say that Turn is one of the most beautiful song ever written.

Just got the new album, but only listened to the first 4 songs so far. It's good to see a band like them, far from "hype" and all that, keeps creating a good music.
Looking forward to see them for the first time in December.

No Barrowlands this time round? Ah well, the ABC is a very good venue too.
Prefer these venues to the big Hydro arena.

Excellent band live. Great vibe at the gigs. Nothing to promote though so surprised they are touring.

Hopefully they'll tour in Europe as well. I had to miss them in 2013 as Fran had a voice problem.

I never even knew! I need to get back online more. Travel are cool. Great Live act I must say, saw them around 3 years ago and they were excellent. Saw them back in 2000 at their commercial high at a Festival in Ireland too, they did a great cover of a Britney Spears song and The Band's Weight when some fan from the crowd got up on stage and was singing the song with Fran, it took the security a few minutes to know he wasn't apart of the band lol. Still think they're debut is their best album, it had a great rocky Britpop feel to it. After that The Man Who is very good and The Invisible Band has its moments. They had a great stand alone single in Coming Around which was great. After that I lost interest in them once The Strokes, The Hives and those sort of bands started to come around. I heard that Song Closer but aside from that I haven't listened to any album after their third.

I found myself going knee deep into The Strokes, Interpol, The Rapture, Coldplay, Soundtrack of Our Lives, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Doves, The White Stripes, Spoon, Flaming Lips, Elbow, Broken Social Scene, Modest Mouse, The Walkmen, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Shins, Sigur Ros and the newly reinvented Wilco in 2001/2002.

Not gonna lie, Fran looks awful these days. Did he turn 65 over night? Wow. He looks fine, he's just let his hair go grey naturally, and grown a big ol' beard to match. In the wrinkle department, he's still trailing our Noel by some way.

Travis is probably the first on my list of "bands I want to see", so I really hope they come to Central Europe this time. Saw Travis many years ago as a support act for a band you might know called Oasis!
