Whats peoples opinions on what oasis could do next? Surely it has to be by a clasic english ba dlike the beatles or the who again? but not them someone else.

I heard a rumour about Gimme Shelter but thats died down and I can't see them pulling it off anyway.
Ace of Spades would be fucking mega with Liam's vocals, as would Should I Stay Or Should I Go.

That big webcast Noel did a while ago, some bloke emailed in saying they should cover Ace of Spades. Noel liked the idea dn said he'd put it to the rest of the band. so who knows.

the ace of spadezs was one of the choices oasis had when they were on radio one promoting
an album a few years ago,the idea was that there were 3 songs ace of spades was one ,my generation was another,cant remember the third,listeners then had to vote which song they thought oasis should do.obviously my generation won.what was the rumor about gimme shelter?,that song rocks like a muthafuck !!

I agree. They haven't really impressed me with any of their covers. I suppose they're good at Beatles songs, but covering Beatles songs is kind of redundant for them. Besides, I'm not really interested in hearing them do a song which sort of sounds like them anyway — so that means nothing by the Las, the Kinks, the Stone Roses, the Verve, etc. Except "Country House"… well, that would be kind of funny, and actually, I think they'd do a good job with it. But they'd probably screw around and mess it up. "Ace of Spades," though… hmmm. That might be interesting. I wonder if they have the imagination to re-work that into an Oasis tune. |

the cover for Iam the walrus is fucking amazing. it takes the song to a whole new level with heavy guitars and stuff. I love it. I think they should do Made of Stone, Waterfall or Resurrection by the Roses, how cool would that be? or maybe Come TOgether

I think they should cover "Sour Milk Sea", originally recorded by Jackie Lomax (but written by George Harrison- there's a Beatles version on the Kinfauns demos). It's a great song and I think they could make it really rock.
