Perhaps the Americans will prematurely play another track before the 29th. "Where are ya? COME ON!" Haha, I hope so. Maybe this failure of communication could work in our favor. I mean, the station that played FotF was pretty random.... Doubt it. The second that happen their management probably got into contact with every station they sent it to and at least threatened for the rest of the not to play. They'll have their ears and eyes wide open for the next two weeks. Though one can hope. |

And everyone may aswel stop trying to guess what will be played on the 29th because it's definitely going to be 'Second Bite of the Apple'.... 'Flick of the Finger' is the 1st single (radio single) same difference. What a fuck up. Beady Eye weren't lying about it being the second single, hell they're probably as confused as we are. Still a good teaser. Would have been nice if it had the proper release it was supposed to have. And I would agree that most of this is out of Beady Eye's hands. |

The management have made a massive mistake here. The world was waiting for a new track tonight. There'll be less momentum in two weeks time. Spot on! Loads of traffic on here tonight, the stems on the website finishing in time, Liam leaking the tracklisting, press interviews, video shoots AND THEN........... Nothing! Huge mistake! Management company will look at this overall as a good thing for more hype. It will probably reach NME pages tomorrow saying there's confusion etc, but really, all they have done is let down the real Beady Eye fans who buy all the records, scramble for tickets etc. I've been on here for the last few weeks following all the hype for this new campaign and they've fucked it all up. A lot of people will just wait until something pops up on YouTube. I'm disappointed for the band cause fuckin KEXP have fucked the whole campaign up basically, but the management company should of put something out there as soon as it leaked and maybe not uploaded the clips or something. I don't know. If KEXP didn't leak it and we were getting drip fed the stems bit by bit it and they banged Flick Of The Finger on the radio tonight! BOOM! stroke of genius! But the power of the internet has ruined another decent marketing idea in one play of a track. However, the PR company should never have sent out promo versions of the track. They must have been aware that it could of happened. Hope the management company read some of this! Really disappointed! |

man i really hate this forum sometimes! just shut the fuck up. yeah the managment screwed it up, by giving flick of the finger to this american station. so what? we got a really great new track by them and i see what they were planing and the plans were originell and i really appreciate their new direction, at least they try it.
so people who are saying "Beady Ey are a joke" or "they are just bullshitin their fans" are not right in their head.
If a mistake in the promotion really let the fans of a band say, taht the band is shit, these fellas can't be fans. shut up and enjoy "flick of the finger" and prepare yourself for "BE"

If you guys are really so bent up about ONE song being delayed (which was going to be played for FREE), after easily having 100+ songs be made available, free of charge, without the Gallagher's consent...then I'd reevaluate how big of a "fan" you are. This is how they make their living. Everything they write and record costs money. Every song/album that leaks is lost revenue for both label, management, and songwriters alike. Not to mention their families, children. Yet we want more, more, more! For free, and as quickly as possible.
We've been spoiled by leaks, Youtube, iTunes, etc. Imagine living in the sixties, waiting on radio, occasional TV appearances and vinyl. They never had this stuff on demand, 24/7. Two weeks ISN'T going to kill us! It will just further build anticipation and excitement, won't it? Fuck off if you're "quitting the band" because of one lousy screw up.

Got to love the knee jerk reactions on here, makes me laugh how "gutted" people are and suddenly FOTF is turd, the stems were a crap idea etc. It reminds me of when you're pasting someone on Pro Evolution and they throw down the pad and say it's a crap game anyway this  I rushed home for 7pm, heard it wasn't going to be played, had a listen to flick of the finger on the Radio then proceeded with my life. I was a trifle dissapointed but I'll get over it. Went to Bargain Booze where I got a great deal on some Ales, had a smoke and played Guitar then watched the atrocities on Boston. That then got me thinking about flick of the finger again "tear a million of you to pieces with a flick of the finger" after the authorities disabled the mobile phones in the Boston area in fear of them being used as triggers. Terrible world we live in sometimes. |
