Hm, listening to "Start Anew" (backward DOSS) just sounds like a nice b-side. Wouldn't expect that on a album. It fade rather quickly which makes me think there's a longer song on the album. But sounds like an Andy track. Nice acoustic ditty, nothing real earth shattering. Makes me wonder if this album is more about the songs working as a whole than any few songs standing out. Because so far nothing has really been something that could standalone, but more of a collective feel, I guess. Well, roll on, June. According to i believe Andy, Start anew sounded like an acoustic song at first, but then turned into the feeling of fireworks in a big stadium or something like that

Really like the chorus in SBOTA, not entirely convinced by the verse though.

I get the sense this may be the case and that the production and sequencing has played a massive part. I won't be complaining if it makes for a great 40 odd minute pop/psychedelic rock album. I also get the feeling, it's going to be slower and the electric guitars will take a back seat or be less prominent. Little licks here and there over acoustic guitars & some nice bass lines and drum beats. I know we've not heard much but for some reason I'm feeling a record that might be very Neil Young or Bob Dylan sprinkled with bits of Hendrix or Rolling Stones instead of Lennon and The Beatles.

Hmmm perhaps if DOSS is start anew perhaps it could just be parts of the song, just like certain stems of it...if that makes sense..:/ I tend not to make sense now a days

And I like it the way it is. If it does take a nice twist at the end like a completely new section, then I could see this being a nice ending track.

The B-side is shambolic! absolutely abysmal, something you will listen to once and never again! I've already listened to it three times so eat that c**tychops.

Agreed. Already like FOTF and now this. I'm excited to hear what comes out next and how they will perform them live. Let's be honest, after Bring the Light, you pretty much knew how it was all going to pan out last time, but thankfully the new direction has made Beady Eye a little more intriguing. Onwards.

It has an unexpected reggae vibe to it! I really like Liams vocal. Different to what he's done before, the 2nd verse especially. I dig it all night long

Come to think of it, this is very, very Rolling Stones-like to me, sounds like something they could've made in the mid 60's. I'm really digging it!

Thanks to those for their work.
I like the song in principle. Not usually that bothered about lyrics, but "The word is up..." part is a bit too repetitive for me.

Remember when Liam said this (not the same thing, just thought it was a little entertaining): "I heard that f------ Radiohead record ['The King Of Limbs'] and I just go, 'What?!'" he said. "I like to think that what we do, we do f------ well. Them writing a song about a f------ tree? Give me a f------ break! A thousand year old tree? Go f--- yourself!"

Noel and Liam are often clowns when discussing Radiohead. At least Noel gives them their due when it comes to a live concert. Noel often said radiohead kept making the "same" recording after Kid A. Ummmmm, what do you call what Oasis was pumping out between 2000-2008 Gallagher bros?

The horns between the first chorus and the second verse sound like the 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' theme music.
Like others I like the way the tune builds, but I think the first verse sounds really awkward.

I think they've really butchered the verse and pre chorus but that Show us your love bit saves it. I think we can all agree on that.

I dont think the verses are bad, they just need to grow on you I think the verse are bad, and you need to ignore the verse are bad But seriously, lyrics can be judged two ways. How they read without the music and how the play with it. This reads atrociously without the music and poorly with it.
