At last minute... It seems all the MKT plans from middle March were ruined with FOTF leak on KCRW (surprise).

The plan was unlock the official website today's afternoon with Flick of the Finger in full (as a teaser, not a single) + first tour dates while Zane interviewing LG via phone and playing FOTF premiere on his show along a Maida Vale session announcement.

Now the things changed. Probably Apple will be aired in two weeks with the new video and more tour dates.

The whole material launch has been a disaster. . .just like BTL and DGSS. I have no idea idea why Liam decides to stick to his promo team but something needs sorted as its appalling.

Too scenarios:

Band who see themselves as big pick one of the best songs on their album, announce a single air date on radio for their first play return. . .come back balls to the wall and with a bang and have everyone talking.

Then there's Liam's promotional group. . . who decide to pick an album track to play 3 weeks before a main single. . And it's first play is completely unanounced and unpromoted on an American radio station with stems randomly unlocking over the course of a week later. THEN instead of making up for it by playing the real lead single. . They hold off for two more weeks.


Truly truly bizarre.

If we weren't Beady Eye Fans (like most of the UK) and didn't go out of our way to scrap some material. . . I doubt we'd have even heard the single.

Well if this is true, and the leak on that was on that American radiostation..., and ruined the whole marketing plan ... then why didn't the management come with some clear news?

They could have known this was gonna happen, making their fans waiting for nothing is not the way to tread your customer.

Weirdest of all... how the f* could that US radiostation have FOTF already in their hands, and have the ability to play it already? Common we life in 2013, are we still sending disks around the world to radiostations? With one click on a mouse, the management could send a mp3 file to all the radiostations in the world... on the supposed release date of FOTF....
