I love that song. I really hope it's been recorded in the studio, either as a b-side or under a different title on the album (unlikely).

maybe as a b-side of the first single? I hope so, I think it has a great melody

It has a strong melody in parts but repeats itself a bit much. It would need a dramatic re-working

It sounds like the monkees on acid.

Fantastic song indeed! Better than FOTF? Hard to say.

Do you think they'll use it as a B-side? It's definitely good enough for that, would love a studio recording.

Sitek's contribution in Flick Of The Finger suggests he's completely able to render repetitive songs into enjoyable gems. The addictive melody in the song polished by his creativity would most likely be amazing for sure, even though how he will do it is largely unpredictable.

I thinkit was on the short clip on the website of the "recording" sign being turned off, you could hear it being played?

I loved the live version of World Not Set In Stone. Was really surprised not to see it on the track listing. Maybe because it doesn't fit in with the new sound they're going for, but I hope it's a b-side.

Not that keen on it I'm afraid. Again, the sound is too 'beatlefied', but those who dig it and think its great might see it as a good sign that its not on the record.
Up until a few months back when we heard nothing, would have expected it to be on the new record which a lot of us were not looking forward to, but now that Dave Sitek has apparently turned the band on its head perhaps its better consigned to that first album sound?

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I like it, and it has a catchy melody, but as much as I love DGSS, I'm totally in favor of change, and I'm a lot more excited listening to Flick of the Finger as a taste of the album, than I was with World's Not Set In Stone (which is really more of the same). I think they need to steer away from those mid-tempo piano-driven ballads.

I like it but it is nothing too exciting. It's like default setting or generic Beady Eye. Love Like a Bomb crossed with Wigwam.
Better as a bside. I'd be curious to see how it turned out.

World's Not Set In Stone will be a B side, Liam has said a few times it will be included one way or another but Sitek has completely re-worked it.

I'm a fan of world not set in stone, heard it when they premiered it at Warrington. Wanted it to be on the album but if its a b-side then to me its like a throwback to the old Oasis days of great b-sides

Wonder if it will be a b-side as well as a bonus track.
Would love to get three or four b-sides on top of the 15 album tracks!

i liked "world not set in stone" too, but it was bit too repetitive and too similar to Different Gear Still Speeding Songs like "The Beat goes on". similar mellow melodies, similar use of organs and that piano solo, in my ears these two songs seem very similar.
