So Kill Switch has vanished from the track listing and this article states that Flick Of The Finger is the single to be released on April 15th?

So Kill Switch has vanished from the track listing and this article states that Flick Of The Finger is the single to be released on April 15th? WHAT IS GOING ON?! Quite possible that the first play of fotf was an accident and Zane has changed the song he was initially going to play on monday? |

To re-cap, as far as I understand it - Zane is playing the(Un-named)single on the 15th - FOTF is an album track - Killswitch is not confirmed as a single - Killswitch is not even confirmed as a song title - Killswitch could infact just be another name for FOTF |

Don't brother me sounds like Little James part II. I cringed reading those lyrics.
I thought his voice was better in DGSS compared to the latter Oasis albums. So they're going back to the rough in your face Heathen Chemistry era sound - worst news ever. Liam sounds his worst when he tries to deliver that type of vocals. It especially isn't gonna mix well with the psychedelic experimental sound they're taking their music in, Liam's voice should be dreamy and blend in with the music, not stand out and be "in your face".
I don't like BE as an album title much but it definitely beats "Universal Gleam" - glad Chris had the balls to shut that down.
They're also talking like FOTF is one of the greatest things they've ever done - doesn't bode that well for the rest of the album does it?
As for the FOTF/Kill Switch/1st single confusion - my guess is that they're one and the same track. And that FOTF IS the first single. Zane is under the impression that the track is called Kill Switch so when people asked him if FOTF is the 1st single - not having heard FOTF, he looked in his notes and saw "Kill Switch" as the name of the track and mistakenly announced that its a different song.
It should be pretty clear from all the info we have from variety of sources that FOTF IS Kill Switch. It makes too much sense for it to not be so.

Exactly. The source of kill switch rumour was the mick lynham guy obviously he's wrong.
Both Zane (directly after playing it and andy bell tweeting him) and xfm said FOTF wasn't the single but obviously didn't say what was.
Zane previously said he'd heard a hand full of tracks and this was long time before the sampler went out so he won't be mistaking songs
From the actual info we have 2nd bite will be the single.
Either way. Well see on Monday won't we.

Not really, no. He's just the host, he doesn't play anything, his producers do. He's just there to present it. He might not have even listened to FOTF when it was played on his show. And even if he did, he probably never listened to "Kill Switch" (I.e the song he thinks is the first single initially slated to be played the following week). So not being a scrupulous fan of the band like we are - he just assumed they were different songs.
Like I said, it makes all the sense in the world for them to be the same track. We essentially got the tracklist from Liam's twitter today and Kill Switch wasn't mentioned - in fact it has never surfaced anywhere in all the official interviews we've read. We should've been able to deduce from the beginning that FOTF = Kill Switch instead of foolishly speculating that it was some clever lead up to an entirely different song.
