i always liked the bit towards the end of Champagne Supernova when Noel would do the "Whooooooooo-ooooooooooo"....."Whoooooooo-oooooooo" while liam sang "We were getting high, we were getting high"
always wondered why noel doesn't do that anymore.

I do remember that. I have a Chicago bootleg from when they were touring with the Black Crowes a few years back... at the end of the "we were getting high", Liam all of a sudden stopped singing (I think someone in the crowd may have made him chuckle at something) , and Noel was doing the "woooooooooooo" thing, and Liam just went "Ohhh boyyyyyyyyyyy" LOL. Great stuff.
Something else I have noticed is that Noel never backs up Liam on Live Forever anymore ("coz I just wanna fly", "As it soaks you to the bone"...)

Since I started singing backing vocals in my band I've been doing Noel's parts in the songs; initially for practice, but it's kinda second nature to me now. Not a bad way to learn, that.
