Anyone else going to Proud Mary tomorrow in Liverpool or has anyone ever seen them live before?
Only ever owned "Same old Blues" but I loved that album.

I really love Proud Mary, great band, I love all their albums though I still haven't heard their recent one, really wish I could see them live but I'm tied up with studies...someday maybe. Anyway I've heard they're a great live band so I'm pretty sure you'll have a great time, I'm really envious...have fun!!

I'm going to their Glasgow gig. I've seen them around 10 times or so over the years as well as a couple of Greg Griffin's solo gigs. Brilliant live. Get their other albums, they are on a par with Same Old Blues, apart from Ocean Park which is good but not great. You can get a load of demos and live stuff here - proudmaryband.blogspot.com/I posted in the other thread that their gig this Friday is being streamed live if anyone wants to watch and maybe record, details here - www.facebook.com/pages/Proud-Mary/150997264919147Stream - www.snootyfoxlive.com/

For the record they were very good live, had a chat with Griffin outside as well who seemed a decent enough bloke. Only issues were only about 20-30 people showed up and they didn't come on until about 10.45pm.
Good tight band though.

Was at the Glasgow gig last night, cracking gig. I'm deaf in one ear after it! New songs were really good live and the band done some nice jams in between. Mexico, Very Best Friend and Same Old Blues went down an absolute storm. My mate was talking with Greg Griffin before the gig and he was well up for being back in Scotland, looked like he had a good night himself! Around 200 people were there, it's a shame as they deserve a bigger audience.

Love Proud Mary one of my favourite bands - Same Old Blues is up there with anyone debut album i'm tellin ya.
Aint been able to see them on this tour but seen them live about 20 times - around the love and light tour travelled to a few different venues around the country watching them.
Had a few drinks with Greg a few times told me some funny stories, top fella, took the piss out of me haircut once too haha.
Seriously though EVERYONE should give this band a go

I really wish I could see Proud Mary, but I'm on the other side of the globe from where they operate. But someday....hopefully!

No worries mate, glad you are enjoying the site, quite a few decent gigs / acoustic sets uploaded on it. The boy who sent me them all knows who he is, good of him to share them all with me.
Hopefully it helps to get them a bit more attention.
The new album tracks came across great live, especially "I'm Gone", the place was jumping. Greg's a really decent bloke, met him a couple of times on his solo gigs and met Paul twice, a bit more quieter but still a really good guy.
