When I was an avid baseball fan the Houston Astros were a National League team and the Milwaukee Brewers were an American League team, what the fuck....
Hopefully the Cubs repeat; wouldn't mind seeing the Indians win, though.
God bless.

Watching the Cubs and Nationals game, TBS is showing the game.....have been wondering who did commentary with Ernie Johnson for TBS, today noticed it's former pitcher Ron Darling.....not a really big fan of Ron Darling's color commentary...
I did see the Mets play the Reds many years ago.....during the game Darryl Strawberry and Ron Darling hit home runs and the Mets beat the Reds.
Related note, really enjoy John Smoltz color commentary for FOX, very enjoyable listen.....
God bless.

There are definitely a few odd choices that jump out here: Reds (great player, but this should probably be Bench) Indians (umm.... no. Sorry, but no. He's probably not even the best payer from those 90's teams.) Dodgers (Koufax is a solid choice, but the Dodger's begin and end with Jackie Robinson) Rangers (If your greatest franchise player only played for you post-40-years-old, then there's a problem.) Angels (Their greatest player is currently on their roster. Trout!) There are a few others that are odd choices but not terrible (like White Sox)

I don´t even know rules of baseball but Kawasaki is funniest man ever. A good friend of mine used to say, "This is a very simple game. You throw the ball, you catch the ball, you hit the ball. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains." Think about that for a while. Хвала.

At least the Brewers aren't as bad as the Mets. Tanking!

The 6pm SportsCenter was live from Fenway Park and it was already pitch black in the Boston area; it doesn't get dark in Ohio until around 7 now. Probably gets dark in the New England area a little after 4pm in the middle of December, so depressing.
Thanks.

Congrats Boston.... I do have to wonder... what the hell was Dave Roberts watching in this series? It's almost like he was managing a different game all together.

Congrats Boston.... I do have to wonder... what the hell was Dave Roberts watching in this series? It's almost like he was managing a different game all together. Alex Cora is just filthy as a manager. Always thinking 3 steps ahead. Aggressive for the kill. Knows how to manage April to September and then the postseason. Highly impressive year one. I like that he’s young and into the progressive era.

Baseball.... I don’t understand the rules, but for some reason I love it. I could be up to all hours here in the U.K. watching it. Maybe it’s the history and heritage and all the legendary stories (e.g. Curse of the Bambino) that I’m fascinated by. Whatever the case, really cool sport.

Harold Baines? This is what it has come to, eh? Go ahead... try and explain it rationally.

Mariano (unanimous even!), Halladay, Mussina, and Edgar... all deserving at least.
Congrats to all.
-----
I do find it interesting that the only writer who said he would not vote Mariano chose to not even send in his ballot. Makes no sense. If you are ok owning your no-vote, then send in a ballot and own it.

As the NFL draft is happening, Tim Kurkjian, ESPN baseball reporter, and regular guest on the Dan Lé Batard Show with Stugotz, was asked if there's ever been in any baseball players drafted that were sure bets to be great players, his answers were Chipper Jones and Ken Griffey Jr,. Apparently, Ken Griffey Jr. never struck out once in high school, that's impressive.
God bless.
