Manny is one of the greatest right handed hitter who ever stepped onto the field. His multiple failed PED tests will certainly hurt him but who knows in 10-15 years. Piazza is in. Bagwell is close. Both long rumored steroid guys. Bonds and Clemens votes total keep rising. We shall see. Hell of a hitter regardless. Big moment player. Vlad to me is a slam dunk. Once a great defensive RF with an absolute cannon for an arm. Like Manny, a lethal hitter with the bat. Career .318 hitter or something like that. Extremely hard to do. He's in. Ivan is another classic steroid abuser named in reports and long rumored by beat writers. I think his entire career is product of steroids. He also won the 1999 AL MVP over Pedro which was a joke. Posada was a very very good catcher but to me falls way short of being a Hall of Famer. Never hit in the playoffs. Supposedly a not good guy behind closed doors and even quit on the Yankees in 2011 by refusing to play one night vs Boston because of a dispute with Joe Girardi.

Ivan's PED use amazes me, the vast majority of his career value is from defense! PED's do almost nothing for defense. What's the point unless you are going to get 35+ homers a year. He only got more than 27 once, usually sat in the teens. Not to mention, he struck out 3 times for every walk! It's weird. Player Comps Here >

First year of steroid/PED testing in 2004 and Ivan showed up to spring training 40 pounds "lighter". Had one of his best years in 2004 so who knows. Hell of a hitter. Lasted forever.

There's a difference between Bagwell being rumored, and Manny failing not one, but TWO tests. Also, Posada was fine in the playoffs, had big hits in the 01 series against the A's, against the Red Sox in 03, and in his final year was literally the only Yankee to get more than one hit. He was also a very good switch hitter. Where he falls short for me is not being a very good catcher(in pretty much all aspects) and not having more than 3 great years. He'll have to settle for having a plaque in Yankee Stadium and with his 20 being retired.

Why would anyone talk about this? Pablo is a known fatty, and he showed up fat. There is no story in this.

At this rate the Chicago Cubs will go down as one of the greatest teams ever, but they'll still figure out a way to not even make it to the World Series.
God bless.

This whole situation is total BS. Grown men acting a fool. And for what? A game in the middle of May? One out of 162! (for all of the fake tough that baseball players engage in, it was nice to finally see someone do something. He did land that punch.)

Personality wise, he's the Barry Bonds of his generation.
