Man talk about a fall from grace. He was once a notable rapper. Then was only famous for banging Chelsea Handler and now will go down as throwing the WORST ceremonial first pitch of all time. Gimme Bush at the World Series in 2001 as the pinnacle example. Still gives me chills. |

Wi am a yankee fan , I pride myself on being objective , oasis are my fav band , ZEP is better Bradshaw my fav qb. But montana and BRADY more consistent , terry had better arm and was clutch but made a lot mistakes as well. So when I say this it's because it's true not hating , especially on a yankee

Jeter is overated if he wasn't on a team that won 6 titles none of this hoopla would happen. I've watched baseball since 71 I was 6 my first memory is pirates and Orioles World Series. So I've seem all in last 40 plus years JETER don't make my top 5 shortstops in that time. He is real good but if not in ny this talk and hoopla don't happen
No order here are -5 best short stops I've seen
dAve conception - reds
Bert campenaris- a's
Mark Belanger - Orioles
Cal Ripken jr- Orioles
A Rod - Seattle
List goes on. But those 5 ill take ANYDAY. Over jeter defensively especially and most offensively as well

First ALL TIME in Postseason hits, total bases, runs, doubles, and triples. Yes he gets the benefit of the wild card games that weren't used before but he made the most of a lot of those opportunities. Is Jeter the greatest Yankee to play the game. Of course not. Rivera and Arod were better players than him on his own teams. But all this Jeter is overrated bullshit is ridiculous. |

Much like rose , a very good ball player , you'll get no argument from me , but ..I will take those shortstops over him , simple as, bSeball is not played for stats. Jeter is a compiler of numbers if U want to recite them its your prerogative. Me I'll take the eye test , to me those 5 were better all around

Pete Rose is baseball hit king. Right ? Well whos a better pure hitter , Rod carew or Rose ? Wade Boggs or Rose ? George Brett or Rose ? All 3 were better pure hitters than rose , by far,, higher batting avgs better hitters all flirted with 400 , but rose like jeter played forever and compiled numbers no knock , but that don't make best , u have your numbers keep reciting them , some will believe you , me i take the eye test , they were better SS that jeter in my eye. just like Boggs , Carew , Brett were better hitters thAn rose , irregardless if rose compiled more U hits m thats all I mean |

No I give u that once, but i omitted Ozzie smith who I will take all day long over jeter, look I know u know sports , I can't type much my ipad keepsfreezing and erasing , JETER is a all time great yankee but there making him out to be a all time MLB great , he is not thats where I say overrated , simple as , a very good ballplayer, not what they make him out to be which is all time great , I love him but I'm a realist, he is a hall of famer , but not in my top10 ever at SS no stat will change my mind , but he is great and a hof Mods please put this in MLB my iPad is jacked.
