Couple of bad days in a row for Major League Baseball. First Curt Schilling announces he is battling cancer and now today Hall of Famer Ralph Kiner passes away at the age of 91. Both legends in their own right.   |

R.I.P. TO A NEW YORK INSTITUTION AND HALL OF FAMER. RALPH KINER. .... Growing up,I knew him as a announcer and host of KINERS korner, a great post game show after met games ..... as a player he hit more home runs in 10 years than most , a legend. Will be missed.

20 years ago today, MJ officially joined the Chicago White Sox.  i recently heard that Michael Jordan's brief baseball career was from the result of an unofficial suspension from the NBA for gambling, which when looking back, seems legit. God bless. |

I hope all those stories about Derek Jeter from a few months back are true. Give him so much needed edge. Yeah Jeets! First Story: "My friend's cousin dated Derek Jeter for a while and had keys to his apartment. According to the story she entered one day to find him butt ass naked on his couch watching highlights of himself and bumping his chest with his fist saying "YEAH JEETS, YEAH JEETS".Second Story: "I actually kinda believe this. Only because one of my friends claims he knew a girl that went back to Derek Jeter's place one night and proceeded to go down on him. As she performed, Jeter put his hand on her head and said "Yeah Jeets, yeah Jeets," as she kept going. I believe it was a soft "yeah Jeets" as opposed to a screaming bumping "YEAH JEETS." But it's close enough.
