I literally have no idea how Wigwam sounds. I'd recognise it if I heard it but I could not hum you the tune. Most of DGSS is utterly ummemorable to me. The new single though is utterly awesome though. The tracks on DGSS sounds so weak and soft in comparison - this is way more in your face. Can you imagine how Millionaire would go down in a club? Trust me, the crowd would not have been mad fer it. This is a bold new step for our boys. It's not dance music though in case you get the wrong impression. You probably wouldn't play Millionaire in a club because its not a club song.

No fake tunes on Youtube this time around. I find that strange.

There wont be anything surprising, just an upbeat song with brass and a better production. But No one expect Liam to make anything else than rock n roll tunes, and that's fine. As long as the tunes are good

People who keep going on about Four Letter Word need to get a grip, that track died for me on his second line "it's all in a moment, look away and its gone", the way he sounds when he says "gone" is fucking embarrassing. They captured Kermit on record. And not only that, the chorus isn't even melodically related to the instrumentals. It's just a shit song, with shit lyrics and an even shitter vocal. For fucks sake team, wake up.

Four Letter Word could of and should of been a lead Oasis single, it's that good.

And don't call people 'team' there is a lot of us that obviously aren't in the same one.

I think Kill For A Dream is alright actually.
Kill For A Dream, Four Letter Word and Morning Son would have fit fine on a latter Oasis album.

As long as the tunes are good Hmm, in my opinion, until there is a change in sound, expect more of the same - which isn't a good sign. If so, my excitement for this new song ranks alongside finding an old biro down the back of the sofa.

Now, I find this interesting. As I see it, in terms of rythm it is a departure...but in terms of notes not so much. But I'd like you to explain that, cos I don't know what would be the "correct" thing

BE is rock & roll. NG is Coldplay. Since you raised the comparison. You evil bastard. Lol. What about this one? "Oh me, oh my, I'm running out of batteries"

KFAD is alright on the album but live it was definitely a highlight for me too.
Really looking forward to this new tune!

Top 5 BDI songs in order:
The Morning Son
In the Bubble With A Bullet (yes the last minute of it is forgettable but the first 2 minutes is the apex of the band so far)
Wigwam
World Outside of my Room
Sons of the Stage (yes it's a cover, still better than anything they've done apart from the 4 above songs)
I could do without ever listening to the rest.
Btw, do we know who wrote ITBWAB? I reckon one of the posters here was able to get to the bottom of it but its escaping my mind whether it was Gem or Andy. I think it's Andy and if I'm right that just reaffirms my belief that Gem should never writhe another song, simply because he's not capable of writing a good tune. His track record is shocking, appalling, disastrous. Liam and Andy need to pull him aside and tell him to solely concentrate on the music.
On that note, for a throwback rock and roll album from a band with two supposed established lead guitarists- DGSS really lacked any memorable riffs or solos. Those two need to come up with better stuff on LOMAB. Or is Gem only capable of accentuating the solos Noel has already written? It's strange, if you listen to those semi acoustic Noel/Gem shows, Gem is playing like a God on songs like Slide Away and Listen Up, but he has never contributed anything remotely of the same caliber on any or the records....I'm hoping LOMAB has a few songs where Gem and Andy are just let loose. No corny melodies like DGSS, bring on the long organic solos and psychedelic experimentations.

Four Letter Word could of and should of been a lead Oasis single, it's that good. No, just no. A single? Maybe. A lead single? No. If Four Letter Word came out as a lead single for Oasis, I'd be worried about any Oasis album it was coming off of. It's decent lead single for a band like Beady Eye, but not for Oasis. Even looking at the list of Oasis lead singles over the years, if one looks at the next best song to be a single, Four Letter Word falls short. To me, TSOTL is a better song, so is BIU, so the The Turning. To me, TIOBI is a better song. SCYHO has more widespread appeal, RIO and GLIO are better songs. When I look at the tracklistings of Oasis' last 4 albums, it's difficult for me to see FLW in even the Top 4 songs of any album. It's a good song, but not lead single material, at least not by Oasis standards. Depending on the strength of the album and the strength of the singles on that album, it's probably a 4th single at best.

It's not hard to imagine why people think Beady Eye are bad when they think that Four Letter Word is their best song, its pretty much the definition of average.
