Well he's been on record bashing those songs, not sure what the other two could be. Oh yes, I agree, he has certainly bashed those songs in the past --but I am curious about those other two as well.

A nice Teenage Cancer Trust EP would be a nice treat for us fans and for the charity to raise money. I'd love this: 1. Freaky Teeth (Studio Version) 2. Noel live track from TCT 3. Noel/Albarn/Coxon track from TCT 4. Noel/Albarn/Coxon track from TCT

"The third album didn’t really have any hit singles on it"
All Around the world and D'You Know What I Mean? say hello Noel.

"The third album didn’t really have any hit singles on it" All Around the world and D'You Know What I Mean? say hello Noel. Stand Be Me was also a big time seller. Was only beat out by Elton John's Princess Diane tribute. Probably the most commercial song they had during this period "Don't Go Away" wasn't even released.

"The third album didn’t really have any hit singles on it" All Around the world and D'You Know What I Mean? say hello Noel. They're great songs but sure not hit singles. In the music business you can't have a hit single that is 9 or 7 minutes. Unfortunately, that's the truth.

I'd like to think that was because of the quality of the tune and maybe general hype for the band during this period. DYKWIM sold over 700,000 copies. That is more than most bands sold albums in those years for just a 4 song single.

Don't Go Away was released in the US, I think It was a radio/video only single in America. A very minor hit when released it October 1997. If it was the lead US single in the summer, BHN might have gone #1. Americans wanted another "Wonderwall".

"...But it’s not the ones you would imagine, if you’re not an Oasis connoisseur.." So if you ARE an Oasis connoisseur then the setlist IS the songs you would imagine. In other words he's saying it's the usual stuff.

GaryWorkid wants to know: Is it true you moved out of Ibiza because of James Blunt?

I'll bet it will be the same as the Shepherd's Bush gig with Idler's Dream, Spaceman, and Angel Child. Not that I'm complaining. I'm still delighted to have those in the set.

They did promote it as a single. They performed it on SNL didn't they? It was physically released in Japan tho They performed DGA on Letterman, SNL in October 1997. They again performed it on Leno and the Keenen Ivory Wayans shows in early January 1998. It wasn't a physical release in America. Radio/Video only.
