Bittersweet Split From what they have been saying, i am half expecting an album in the style of their later b-sides like You & I, Evil Twin and the latest single R U Mine. Up tempo 'rock n roll' if you will.

No Daft Punk love? the colaborations for their new album includes Todd Edwards, Giorgio Morover, Julian Casablancas, Pharrell & Nile Rodgers... and other that are about to be announced the genre might not be my favorite, but I enjoyed Discovery, few good singles that pretty much everyone can agree on too. Surprising (but cool) that Julian Casablancas is involved, never would have linked their sound with the Strokes in my life. Think of Verdis Quo and 80's Comedown Machine/Ask Me anything/Games

Dunno if anyone here has heard of/likes the band Yuck, but they're supposed to release a new album this year, although I just heard the singer quit so not sure how it'll turn out. A friend of mine used to have a music site I occasionally wrote reviews on and I remember being adamant about them having the best album of 2011. Bummer.

I've seen them at London Calling a couple of years ago and bought their first album. I liked them, they sounded a bit similar to The Cure.

Their first album was really good, real shame if that's all we'll ever hear from them

Yeah.....so.....that new Deerhunter album is outrageously good. That's the career arc The Strokes should have had musically. Bradford Cox is a genius.

They've got a real low-fi quality and great guitar parts. I've been trying to see them live for years. My concert buddy moved to South Korea 2 years ago and it really cut into my concert gigs.

Looks like there will be no Radiohead album in 2013. Thom said today that studio plans will have to be pushed back since he is touring with Atoms For Peace through October and stressed he needs rest at its completion. Bummer.

Checked out some Deerhunter songs. I like their sound. Will listen to a whole album tomorrow when I get a chance. Pretty sure the one I listened to a few from was the 2010 album and seems like the kind of thing I'd like. Looks like there will be no Radiohead album in 2013. Thom said today that studio plans will have to be pushed back since he is touring with Atoms For Peace through October and stressed he needs rest at its completion. Bummer. Ah well that's disappointing. Would have been a nice one to look forward to. You have any idea if the Black Keys or Arcade Fire will be releasing anything for sure this year?

^ I swear I'm not stalking you on here. But all your posts about music I generally agree with. Shit, I hope you're joking, Lennon has like the worst taste in music on the entire board. I mean, for fucks sake, even his name, Lennon2217, gives it away. If he knew anything about music we'd be calling him 'Ringo'.

A new entry in the Bob Dylan 'Bootleg Series' is being released this year and I'm pretty excited about it.

Does it matter? The La's kick the shit out of everything on here
