Remember the meltdown on the forum the day the tracklisting for Noels glorious debut album was anounced and a large group moaned that they had heard 4 songs already... Only a few days ago some body mentioned "rehashed songs that had been around for years" what is Noel supposed to do? Scrap his songs because L4E have heard low quality demos...
the reaction to NGHFB2 is going to be outrageously unfair come 2015. Potentially 5 song will be previously heard via demos and will cause a frenzy and Noel will come under fire from the arseholes who begged for the demos but want more....
I guarantee it.

Some people will like it, some people will hate it.
And even though versions of If I Had a Gun, etc leaked before the album came out some people on this very forum still consider the released version of If I had a gun to be among the best songs ever released by Noel, even including Oasis.
After enough time's passed, to paraphrase something Noel said about SOTSOG in 2000, it'll be just another CD in the 'N' section of HMV between Oasis and Menswear, that's where you'll find it and whether anything leaked prior to its release won't matter, it'll have to stand on its own merits.

Who cares if Noel gets some stick, he'll get a lot of people who say it's one of the best oasis-related albums ever made as well so who cares... People will like it, people will hate it, get on with it.
I'd say BDI will get a worse reaction than HFB2 tbh

Beady Eye have decidedly lower expectations than Noel though.

Stool Bory Cro.
Maybe Noel should write more than 2 songs a year.

This post gives me the impression you had tears running down your face and you were beating the desk with your hand as you wrote it. None of the those songs may appear or all of them could. People will just have to appreciate they'll get two versions of each song. Ultimately they heard them when they were never meant to and you'd hope they'd accept that.

They will kick off big time. If I Had A Gun still gets slated because its different to the soundcheck... Look at the reaction for the Freaky Teeth demo... They get it in there heads how they want it to sound and inevitably, its different....

The vast majority of people who listen to Noel Gallagher do not live on this forum or patrol the internet for leaked demos or soundchecks. For most people, it'll be brand new to them when buying High Flying Birds part 2. I think out of the 4 songs, maybe 1 will appear. Probably Come On Outside like Noel said in the Jeff Slate interview from August 2011. Freaky Teeth will also end up on the album. The rest could be b-sides.

Freaky Teeth will also end up on the album. Still cant get into that song.. But that'll be the most extreme case. The forum will never be happy with a studio version no matter what he does with it.

It gets a little bit of stick is all and it's not always because it sounds different to the soundcheck, I don't like it because I find it boring and too similar to the kind of songs Noel has done many many times before

Dunno if Freaky Teeth and Come On Outside will both appear on the album - too similar in vibe I think. Though I do prefer Freaky Teeth, it's one of the best rockers he's written in years.
Would love to hear Liam's vocals on Come On Outside - imagine it with those aggressive intimidating vocals.

The way I see it, Noel won't surprise us because his current songwriting is not meant to be surprising. Easy as that. It will be a bunch of pleasant songs to listen once or more in a while.
I suspect that Beady eye's 2nd album will be surprising and more interesting (there are 3 musicians there, and right now they are more ambicious than the well stablished and older Noel).

To be fair, Noel can surprise if he ever decides to man up. He has the AA project done and mixed (not to his liking). If he ever sorted it out, grew a set of stones and unleashed it, I bet many of us would be surprised by the results for good and for bad. That would excite me.

The only song that i could see being on a new Noel album is The Dying Of The Light. Possibly Come On It's Alright.
The rest of the songs are not up to Noel's high standards. Maybe one or two can eventually be b-sides.
We should just appreciate being able to hear these songs in the first place.

I think it's a loose-loose situation there. If Noel leaves out all the leaked demos then people will moan that he's an idiot on picking the track listing(I've read that way too many times on here) and all that. On the other hand if he packs it with the leaked demos as you said HFP people will say that there are too few new songs.
I on the other hand will enjoy it anyway, even if he packs it with these demos. Can't please everyone or should I say anyone these days.

It'll decrease the excitement to a certain extent about the release. But some people'll be over the top in their annoyance.
After a year when the newness has worn off having demos leaked wont matter. If people won't think it's good once the newness wearing off it wasn't that great in the first place.

NGHFB 2 is going to be kinda girly. Just like the 1st. record. We all hate the Coldplay-sound. It's not that strange.

The Coldplay-sound Noel seems to be going for works on single songs but can be quite dull on a whole album so I think he does need to put a bit of variation on HFB2 to stop people becoming bored
