We've already lost the prospects of Harrison and of course Lennon. And it's for the best we will likely never see the boys sampling them posthumously, a la generic rap artist. But what about the surviving two? Surely it's been at least lightly considered by all in question.
Could it be in the cards that someday Ringo will decide to join his son in getting a spot in the Oasis catalogue? Or could Macca's future involve joining Noel, Liam, or both on vocals on a Let There Be Love-ish ballad?
Also how do you think a high profile collaboration as such would affect the band's career? I think it would be great, and very complimentary of both sides. Oasis is already a Beatles cover band to the foolhardy, so I wouldn't worry about solidifying that. It might even help it, legitimizing Oasis for people who see them that way 10+ years after WTSMG.

not in a million years....maybe if it was 1967, I doubt oasis would EVER want to work with a 60 year old Macca..and why have Ringo when his son is better.. There was Smokin Mojo Filters... in 1995-96.. but that was one off and not very publized....

I don't think it would be good for their image one bit. They have been trying to shake the entire 'beatles-ripoffs' image their whole careers and a collaboration of this sort would just add more fuel to the fire. Plus i doubt they either of the parties would want to do anything of the sort.

The people who are still stuck on that myth in 2005 will never, EVER get past it. Screw them. I think you'll find the odd person that just wasn't exposed enough to either or both bands, but for the most part there's just no convincing them otherwise, so just screw them. What I'm getting at is - think of what a Noel written song might bring out of McCartney . . . what Noel has been able to do with the Beatles/classic rock influence is stronger than what McCartney has now. It would have the potential to be a mess, sure. But if it was done right . . .
