Is Valentin's Day . . . Brilliant or Rubbish? (Not the song, the actual celebration of the day.)
This Valentine's Day let us get in the mood with a little Macca:

I think it's rubbish. People become so corny and stupid. It's ridiculous.

Depends if you have someone to spend it with I suppose. But yeah like bonkers said, you should tell someone the way you feel every day.

I prefer little gestures or surprises in any day of the year, rather than a ridiculous display on Feb 14th just because Hallmark says so. Besides, the only imported, commercial holiday I celebrate is Christmas. If I'd celebrate another it'll be St. Patrick's Day, and only because it's irish

Besides, the only imported, commercial holiday I celebrate is Christmas. If I'd celebrate another it'll be St. Patrick's Day, and only because it's irish That poll will come in month or so. Back to the topic . . . I've been married for nearly 8 years, and my wife and I never leave the home/presence without a kiss and a "I love you". Every phone call is ended with a simple "I love you" as well. We clearly know how each other feels with regards to the relationship, but Valentine's Day isn't about that to me. It's a day to remember/celebrate our love in a way that we simply don't get the chance to do during most normal days of the year. It's a chance to think about all the things that have led to this point in our relationship, and to evaluate what we mean to each other. How often do people stop to ponder the real sentiment behind what they do? Certainly not everyday, or week, or month . . . most never do it. Valentine's Day is a great chance to pause, reflect, and appreciate the ones we love more deeply than the everyday "I love you", kiss, or hug. Anyone who's been in a long term relationship (i.e. years, not weeks) should understand this idea I think. Cheers!

Valentines day is a bragging competition for women.
Facebook becomes a battleground and twitter is a complete no go zone.
