Was thinking about this earlier.
Had Oasis not split up, what would the tracklist of the follow up to DOYS have been?
I know the running order is a little higglety-pigglety,but I would have something along the lines of:
1. Four Letter Word
2. The Roller
3. If I Had A Gun
4. The Death Of You And Me
5. Wind Up Dream
6. Broken Arrow
7. Three Ring Circus
8. Stranded On The Wrong Beach
9. The Morning Son
10. Everybody's On The Run
Thoughts?

I love many more of the HFB songs like EOTR and AKA WAL but I have a hard time fitting them into the tracklisting.

You could just play it off as you meaning 2011, as the year the follow-up to DOYS could have potentially been released in. Also, if Oasis had stayed together, I would have wanted Noel to start singing 4 songs per album. Or better yet, have half the album be Noel vocals and the other half be Liam's. It was more than apparent that Noel's performances were getting better and imo had caught up to (arguably surpassed) Liam's deteriorating vocals. I think an album containing 5 all Noel Songs + 1 Noel written Liam song (perhaps the lead single) + 2 all Liam songs + 1 each for Gem & Andy would have been able to maintain the quality of their 90s' albums. Noel, I think was growing tiresome of writing for Liam; the latter day Noel penned Liam sung tunes just didn't translate into that many memorable songs. I can only think of SCYHO as rivaling some of their 90s output. |

The best Oasis album would have been keeping NGHFB's tracklisting with a few minor changes (add Liam vocals on majority of songs, have the epic version of RM, etc).
NGHFB would have been regarded as the best Oasis album since WTSMG by fans and critics alike if it had Liam vocals on it and was under the Oasis moniker.

Bit of a shit tracklisting in terms of the album's flow but those are the best tracks in my opinion. Single B-Sides would be Death of You and Me, Dream On, Record Machine and The Roller. Epic album to be fair though. Noel writing most of the tracks with one each for LAG if i'm not mistaken.
