Well, in fact Noel uses some classical effects like fuzz box (on Cigarettes and Alcohol and lot of another songs), wham-automatic box (on MG for exemple). Chorus box is another effect very appreciate by the Chief, who plays with it on many songs (Live Forever...). I don't remember exctly but i think that Noel also worked with a melotron (an old effect very popular in the late 60's and 70's).

Mellotron isn't a guitar effect, it's an instrument built in the 60s that emulates other instruments
You play it like a keyboard
