You guys would probably know this, but is there ANY version of "Stop the Clocks" available anywhere? I know Noel played it live a couple of times in England, I think during an acoustic set with Paul Weller or something. Aren't these perfomances more than likely on the web somewhere?  |

I know this may sound a bit sick, but I hope 'Stop The Clocks' is a dud.
Never have I heard so much hype about a song that no one has heard.
If this was back in like 1975 when everyone only had vinyl, then it would be more believeable that someone had heard it.
These days if it was played ONCE (alla Polish radio station that played Lyla) it would be ou w/in minutes.
The day that Lyla was played on Polish radio, only a few hours later I had it downloaded, burned and in my car blaring!!!
STC is nowhere!!!

although there is one crappy version invented by some guy and it's somewhere on the web. of course it's shite and there's some guy strumming guitar and singing a part of the lyrics that landed on the internet in 2003, something like "turn your love around, ther'll be no sound" it's actually funny

kind of unrelated but I remember distinctly when those 'fake' lyrics came out in 2003 I think the lyrics for a couple other songs were leaked too, such as Love Like a Bomb, which turned out to be true I believe....maybe I have spent too much time at a computer screen and I'm going mental, but that gives the lyrics some credibility to me, even if they are just demo lyrics. The song does exist in Noels mind in some form, who knows what form though...hahah

This is true about ever other day a new post appears about "Stop the Clocks" but I distinctly remember reading in NME about Noel playing "Stop the Clocks" while performing a 5 song acoustic set at a Paul Weller show. I think he played two days in a row. Does anybody else remember this?
