Webby, here's why the block feature won't work:
Certain members will miss what's being said in any given thread by the members they've blocked. This will lead to inaccuracies in following the conversation in the thread. This will then lead to mass confusion with side conversations and general nonsensical posts being made, all leading up to a general mess.
Ok, sure, I'll give it a chance. But I honestly can't see how the block feature will be used without causing a multitude of problems.

People shouldn't abuse it, that's all - maybe block one or two people who really annoy you but don't block somebody who might say something you don't agree with. Anyway, the new design looks pretty awesome! |

one thing I don't like is that shoutbox at the bottom, but that's only because of my irrational hatred toward chatrooms ;D

I miss the easy access to the "recent threads" tab. I found it much easier to browse that than look around for what people have been talking about. Just a thought. Overall, I dig the new do. It would be nice to have something a bit more interesting than "gray" as a backdrop though.

Things I dislike: the "Stories from around the web" feature at the bottom of the page. it's a proboards decision to include that feature. the software will adjust to better suited stories once it knows what readers are into ( according to their website) |

I agree, NL4E. Fuck, we're agreeing too much. But I also find it weird. I like to see what year people joined. I have been a member since 2003 but have deleted accounts and had to sign up again. So for me having to look at joined in 2012 made me feel like a newbie i don't need to know when people joined as long as they contribute thats all that matters. |

The block feature is going to be the death of this forum, just like how the Karam feature destroyed it for a time being - it's going to be abused. I hope Webby has the power to remove that function, because it probably will be abused..... Blocked. |

I'm liking the new layout, pretty easy to use so far.
When posting though there isn't a preview option anymore or am I just blind?
Webby, you should speak to some of our artwork designers for new banners for each section, I'm sure they could come up with some great designs.
