Four months on and I still can't get over how good it is. Is it quite possibly the best instrumental ever? I think so - it's a truly epic song.

a shame that it's not in DBTT, it's a fantastic song, and I love to hear Noel's singin there, sounds so magic, a great tune, and unknown Oasis classic

it should have been a secret track for DBTT, it's great and it has a different feel to it but it still got OASIS written all over it

It is far from the best instrumental ever.
There are so many instrumental songs better than this.
For Oasis? Um, I don't know. It's a good tune.

The Swamp Song and Fuckin' In The Bushes are good, but they're essentially just unoriginal bluesy guitar riffs. Can Ya See It Now? is in a different league altogether. OK, it was an exaggeration to say it's the best instrumental ever, but it is up there with my favourites - Eric Clapton's version of Hide Away and Rude Mood by Stevie Ray Vaughan.

It's a good tune but I don't know how it could have fitted on DBTT, except as a hidden track which I always hate on albums. Shows Noel has more than one string to his bow.

I just don't get the affection for this tune. It's a snooze fest. Both FITB and TSS piss all over this, for me.

i really love this tune aswell.
but to say its more original than TSS or FITB is ludacris. lol
i guess it could be original to you, if you've never heard Yellow before.

I'm not saying that it's totally original, I was just pointing out that The Swamp Song and Fuckin' In The Bushes are far worse in that respect. The Swamp Song is just the riff from On The Road Again played over and over and Fuckin' In The Bushes is based on a Jimi Hendrix sample. I forget which one. Now then. This "Yellow" you speak of - are they any good?

neither... I don't know why everyone says it sounds the same... alright, yellow has a riff with bending notes... and I can see it now has a riff with bending notes... thats about it really... I dont think it sounds the same, just in the same vein
I can see it now is an awesome song... very hard to choose between it, and FITB

The Hendrix bit on the original FITB demo was the drum sample. That's it, just the drums (and they had to take them out in the end and get Whitey to recreate it). There's no Hendrix in the FITB riff at all.
