What's The Story? War And Glory
With a brother who's locked in 'come on then' mode, you could forgive Noel Gallagher to have more than a passing interest in conflict.
And as it turns out, Noel is obsessed with World War II, according to today's Daily Star.
The tab reckons that Noel is so into WWII that he recently ranted about people not giving events like the Normandy landings the recognition they deserve.
According the the Star, Noel said: "You get people saying Live8's the greatest thing that's ever happened in Europe, and you're thinking 'Er, D-Day'."
And no, D12, that's not the day you all signed a record contract...

greatest event in european history is when the nazis were kickin the britishes arsehole in the battle of britain, in fact its thought that not even 1 lufwaffa was shot down, they were firing shells into the sky hoping for the best, and hitler decided that it would not be worth invading england just yet (although if he did at this point, he would have easly, as at this point the strength of the war machine was unbelivable) he decided to concentrate his force in the eastern front and the invasion of the USSR, (as resource wise, it was alot more useful that the UK, and its resources would have proved vital in the war effort), so bascially, if Hitler hadnt have been so arragent as to just suspend his invasion of the UK, he would have probably won the war, thank god for his arrogence
