Just because he's written a lot of good songs, that doesn't make Noel clever. I remember Noel saying in an interview that he learnt to play the guitar because he couldn't do his school work. He said himself that he wasn't particularly clever at school Noel also said in an interview he thinks he could have done well at school if he'd tried. ;D Well that's hindsight isn't it, we can all say things like, "I'd have done better if... I could have if..." To be clever you can be born naturally cleverer than others but you still have to put the work in and for Noel as a working class lad from Burnage who just liked to smoke weed and play the guitar I can't see him ever putting in the effort to make himself smarter |

You poor fool. IQ is not a definitive mark of intelligence anymore than being an articulate songwriter. There are more elements to intelligence than that. If you could point out to me where I said that was indeed his exact IQ? If you can do that I'll give you my magic beans for free. Its more to do with the fact that an element on here could not possibly believe the theory Liam is of above average intelligence. You immediately jumped on someone who was skeptical of Liam having a 165 IQ by playing the "you're just angry cause they're saying something nice about Liam" card. Give me a fucking break. Don't play coy, tommy boy. We all know who you are. You're one of the handful of partisan ball slurpers who help ruin this forum. There's a reason a fight follows everywhere you go. IQ is only one strand of intelligence - academic intelligence. There are five other ones such as creative intelligence, emotional intelligence, musical intelligence, can't remember the other two.
In fact, studies have shown that emotional intelligence is the most important in life, the one that makes you succeed more. For example, you could be a MENSA genius with an IQ of 200 but you could also be an arrogant, rude and awkward human being, thus having pretty low emotional intelligence.
Although this isn't justification that Liam has that IQ, I just have no idea where it came from.

why is everybody acting like a child? if liam has an IQ of 160+ so what?! is it that bad if noel has not that much, which we besides don't know.
stop arguing about things and just believe it or not, but don't start being such rude to each other for a no relevant reason like this "fact".

In this thread I asked someone who is often negative about Liam why they are? And then in the next wondered why it would be impossible for people to believe that he's a clever man. That's what it amounted to. You and the other one made more out of it than it was.

He's quite intelligent. I think he plays himself up a lot. He knows his reputation and has fun with it. Great for him. He loves being himself. Unfortunately, him being himself may lead some to think that he's not too intelligent, especially when people compare him to the songwriting megatron that is Noel. But Liam's clearly not an idiot in my opinion. Whether the IQ is true or not.....eh, who cares. He's intelligent, he was part of one of the biggest bands in the world, he plays guitar, and he's an amazing singer. He's far ahead of a vast majority of the world no matter intelligence. |
