Type it into google, and all you get is that his IQ is 160-164! He's even listed on this site as a celebrity musician/singer with one of the highest IQs. www.music.us/education/I/IQ-scores.htmWell, Carol Voderman did try and get him to appear on Countdown in the 'Dictionary Corner' - perhaps she realises how smart he really is? So, do you think Liam likes nothing more than to curl up in the evening with a copy of War & Peace, sipping the finest wine and listening to Chopin? Or is it just a load of urban myth bollocks? |

High IQs are only a little helpful when they are developed. Liam, on the other hand...

He's street smart. And quick on his feet. Impatient though. Can't see him sitting through an IQ exam (let alone seeing the merits of them).

A standard IQ score is between 85-115, with 100 being perfectly average. Assuming a bell curve, I think 68% of the population would fit into this group. Getting higher scores becomes increasingly rare. A score of 120 I think is required to be classified as 'gifted'. A score of 160-164 is pretty much unheard of, as far as my knowledge goes.
I love Liam and he is definitely brighter than he gets portrayed but 160-164 is pretty unrealistic. As least as much as I remember from my university stats classes.

i would consider Liam to be ignorant but not stupid.
i do remember years ago in probably 1996 when MTV used to have hourly music news updates that one was a story about Liam and Noel's mom saying that both brothers excelled in school and their public personas were fabricated. i don't know if i believe that but i do believe there's a bit of acting going on with them.

God bless. I agree. Liam is not an idiot. He's just not as articulate as Noel. I've always been skeptical of websites that list IQ scores of celebrities. I mean, when one becomes famous is taking an IQ test or releasing their IQ score a requirement? It seems weird and of course, so many of them are listed as geniuses.  |

most of the people on this thread are perfect indications of why the internet is such a sad place.
sad fucks on their compys in their bedroom in their mum's house thinking that a world famous millionaire can't possibly someone with a high IQ.
I would hazard a guess that all those who reacted negatively/disbelievingly to the original posts are students or graduates with their pieces of paper which prove how 'intellgent' they are.

Liam's upbringing has a lot to do with how smart/intelligent he comes across. Put it this way, if he was born with a silver spoon up his arse he'd be coming across a lot smarter now. He didn't get enough education to develop a high IQ. But '160-164' is still a bit steep to believe.

You must have a job lapping up Liam's balls to keep them nice and clean. I think Liam is much brighter than people give him credit for. But a 165 IQ is just astronomically high. It would put his IQ in the 99.999th percentile of all people. If you don't have a healthy skepticism about a random claim like that about Liam, then I have some magic beans to sell you. You poor fool. IQ is not a definitive mark of intelligence anymore than being an articulate songwriter. There are more elements to intelligence than that. If you could point out to me where I said that was indeed his exact IQ? If you can do that I'll give you my magic beans for free. Its more to do with the fact that an element on here could not possibly believe the theory Liam is of above average intelligence. |
