He's done a great job with The Healers as well. "Boomslang" was a great album and he wanted to do something different with The Healers cos Johnny is the "changing man" after all.

I really like this. Whatever Johnny Marr does, I always compare it with The Smiths, which is the highest benchmark you can possibly get in music, but this is really good. Makes me think what The Smiths would have sounded like if they had continued. Maybe taken on a dancey sound like that awesome instrumental of theirs The Draize Train (which I oh so wish Morrissey had put vocals over), or maybe this style of meaty rock?
