Glasgow Green over Finsbury any day - simply for the fans. I love this city, absolutely mad for it - seeing Noel at the SECC in February was chaotic. Their gig at Glasgow Green (in 89 I think?) is regarded as their greatest gig ever.

It wasn't in 89, it isn't regarded as their best gig ever and I'd rather live in London than Glasgow. I think so, definitely in their greatest gigs ever, miles better than Spike Island. And Glasgow over London? In my opinion, no way, Glasgow is incredibly cultured, generally I've found the people there incredibly nice and there is alot in the way of music and arts about the city. I like London but it's just too big for me, and I've generally found a lot of people to be rude. And the gigs are so quiet too - most people just sit on their hands when watching it, completely the opposite of Glasgow.

Yeah there best gig performance wise but to be fair Spike Island was a moment in British indie history. Its a bit like comparing Maine Road and Knebworth. I like Glasgow, i've been to gigs there to and its a bonkers place, would love to go there more often. But better than London? I don't think so, London seems a smaller place when you've been there a lot and it just has everything.
